Continuing the traditions of Shield Battery elite pvp, Orious and Torac in merlins and myself in a thrasher make our way through faction warfare for more targets to shoot. Trekking through Amamake up to Siseide, we come across a gang of Merlin, 2xMaulus, and Vigil in a complex. Orious with his masterful FC abilities has us warp there, and the gang is still inside the complex. And then he makes the call to take the acceleration gate.

Today, we were reminded that destroyers cannot enter novice complexes.

After that little bit of hilarity, we go back to Hek for Orious to fit up another merlin. After some intense eft warrioring and realization of his fit, he decides "fuck it, I'm only bringing 2 guns on my merlin" pretty much and we move out again. We swing back down to Siseide, and after not finding any good engagements, push deeper into Amarr territory to Sosala. Orious finds a purifier on dscan at a mission site, and we warp into it, saying that it will most likely be the minmatar militia fellow in local, which we found out to be true as we warped into the mission. After a short discussion about what to do (read: whatever, let's kill it anyway), we hide our tactic and intentions of what we had wanted to do to this purifier. After a straight burn of 70km, we engaged, with words being sent to us as follows:

We leave Sosala, with Orious lamenting the tragedy that has befallen this young minmatar warrior. Two jumps later in Tannakan, we pick up a Slicer on dscan doing a button. We warp into it and we had our real fight of the day with an enemy that wouldn't be fooled by our militia betrayal!

After talking with the minmatar debt collections office, I have sent him .1 isk as my monthly payment. We decide to head back home to Hek as Orious has to leave, and along the way home, Orious, still having his head in his palms, wondering what he can possibly do to correct this unjust act that he has committed, looked through the guy's profile and looked at his medals and stated that he didn't feel so bad anymore. The man we killed apparently has this medal:
Awarded to active members who have shot down 125 or more targets in the name of T.R.I.A.D

So basically we have made the preemptive strike against triad for declaring war on us for shooting minmatar militia members by shooting more minmatar militia members.

Pretty entertaining for me for being a short-notice roam.

Question for Kwark/anybody else who uses character bazaar regularly:

I just noticed the Power of 2 promo that CCP is doing. Pay ~$50 for 180 days of game time.

With a promotion like that, would it be cost effective to use that account solely to train a supercap pilot with the intention of selling it for profit? I checked out how low it would take a brand new alt to fly an avatar using evemon and evemon says it will take around 205 days with 27 PER / 21 WILL to get:

ADV Spaceship command V
Cap ship V
Amarr BS V
Leadership V
Jump drive operation V
and amarr titan IV

obviously that alt has no support/weapon skills whatsoever, but an alt with those skills alone only costs what like 5 plex total? would selling that alt as-is be profitable? would investing the extra money to plex (another 4-5 plex? not sure exactly how much) that alt to be able to competently fly an avatar be profitable?

EDIT: just noticed purchasing the skills alone would cost ~5.5bil, plus training time.... i guess i'd lean towards no, taking that into account. would still like to hear experienced character traders opinions though

Creating titan holders can be profitable. The skillbook cost is either factored into the cost of the toon upon sale or you sell it without the skillbook and they add it themselves and put in the 5 hours or whatever for titan I. But don't pay $50 for po2, use 3 plex.
