Once you have a good idea what a character is and what it could be, you try and identify how much you could sell it for based on similar toons in recent days. Or you can do what KwarK and I usually do which is pick up a character based on what it could be, but end up selling it for stupid profit early because someone wanted to buy a pilot that could be something and paid a premium for it. | ||

My baseline goal for profit for any character I buy is around 500mil a week. That is, if I buy a character right now I want to make 500 mil on my investment for every week I own the toon. A little over two weeks into owning this character, someone posts on the forums they are looking for an orca booster for a new mining fleet, I present the character as a near perfect booster and a perfect hulk pilot, I collect 1.5b profit when i sell for 7b. | ||
