Can anyone help me with these?
Two games from genesis:
1: A 2-player co-op game wherein there were a lot of bosses, the final boss iirc had an 8-pack and on the way to him you would like fly upwards/vertically. Protagonists were humans iirc, and I THINK you could have a variety of guns i'm really not sure about anything. It was really contra-like in gameplay, I guess it could be contra but i think the actual contextual setting of this game is a bit different. OH YEAH there was a dragon that was made up of many parts and youd have to shoot his head to damage him but he'd constantly go underneath the screen etc (kinda like underwater sea dragon enemy in megaman). sorry for my shitty description
2: I can't remember much but it was a co-op as well, and you can call for help like summons. Protagonists were humans in a contemporary/urban setting, and summons would be like you can summon a police car off-screen to shoot a rocket launcher into your screen etc. it was crazy. You can get pipes and beat the shit out of people also. I'm inclined to believe this was a very popular, well known game.

I don't know about the first one, but yeah, this one is a very popular game: Streets of Rage
Streets of Rage 2 is miles above that one, though. : x

I'm thinking of a game in which you control a group of robots through various levels, getting strongers as you go on. You could pick up kinda metroid-like power ups that would let you revisit older levels and find other power-ups as well. Midway through the game you lose a robot to an explosion in a tunnel, but it gets replaced.
Its 8 or 16 bit, but my guess is that its on Genesis/Masterdrive.

Island of Doctor Quandary.

Streets of Rage 2 fo sho Panorama, That's one of the best games on Sega Genesis

Streets of Rage 1 actually is the one where you could summon a police-car iirc.
edit: ah, didn't see MTF's post. Yeah, SoF2 is alot better. SoF3 is pretty damn nice too but A LOT harder.

Well, I will give this thread a shot, I haven't been able to find this game for a decade now.
It was a soccer game for some sort of Nintendo IIRC where you could only play as Japan. You controlled one guy the rest was on AI. Each of your players as well the opposing teams had a special super shot, like transforming the ball into something. The whole game was really cartoonish with all sorts of funny stuff (on certain fields lightning would randomly strike players, or a tornado blow them off the field, or idle players sinking in the mud etc.)
The game consisted of 2 phases, first you could play 4 teams of each 4 regions (something like Asia, Africa, America, Europe) and if you have won enough games, you got to the world cup.
Could somebody help me find it? I used to have this game on a console thing but it doesn't work anymore.

Ok... uh... Let's try this out (I haven't been able to answer many yet but this game is OBSCURE)
Ok so it's an old PC game, shareware I think, looked early 90s, I think it was called 'Knights of X' or 'Warriors of x'. Basically it was a beat em up game (1v1, 2v2), the graphics were awful, but all teh chracters were pretty different, and the highlight of the game was this big 32 player bloodbath thing which made absolutely no sense at all. Characters included floating eyes, knights with swords, horses... etc... It was sideview, but your character could move up/down (similar to streets of rage)
Ehr... I really want to find this game again. If it's any help I got it from a CD compilation called '2001 game'

thanks guys yeah I think the first one is a bit more obscure or I just suck ass at explaining it (it's not gunstar heroes =[)

omg i had this game, it was awesome. i can't remember the title though. the whole thing was in Japanese, so I could play it only with much experimenting.
definitely my favorite was the Brasil piranha shot and the shuriken combo shot from your teammate's head lol.

An old PC game like when 286-386 computers where popular. 2d Arcade game with 3d-like space where you could go up, down, forward and back. You could also duck and probably jump too. You could have different weapons : rifle, rocket launcher...? The setting was mostly on streets(street lamps, garbage bins at least that's what I remember. You could destroy garbage bins which contained energy or something, can't remember correctly.

It could be Alien Soldier for the Genesis, also by Treasure and with a similar format (lots of boss fights).

The only game this reminds me of is Robotrek. I'm a bit fuzzy on the details of the game myself, so I'm not quite sure on it. Worth a shot, though.

I'm trying to get the name of a SNES game. I think that it was very similar to geometry wars, but with robots/people instead of shapes. i remember that sometimes civilians walk around the map, but I can't remember what they're for. I can only remember that i really wanted to catch them

Anyone: an old rts game that is like black and white but not really and alot older.

it was an old game, for the regular nintendo. I think you were a kid in the game (i am not sure). it was a side scroller. you had a ton of different abilities you could use, or maybe you were transforming into things. one of the abilities/transformations involved a tornado.
I know that is almost nothing to go off of, so good luck.
maybe "a boy and his blob"?
