Apparently this set is part of the G3 tournament finals. Inoue's OS is really good, albeit not as good as 0's

Not your fault, but the vid is mislabeled. It's part of one of the 23 on 23's (and not the 23 on 23 final)--hence that's what it says at the bottom. Should be 埼玉 VS 千葉, whatever those cities/regions/game centers are. + Show Spoiler + edit: and Inoue correspondingly won the previous 4 games before that one. Nothing like Ogawa's 10-0 to finish the series though. ~_~;;

In lieu of that, some ST vids. They're currently running some preliminary ranking battles for the upcoming Gian Recital at a few arcades. Seems like Game Newton singles tourney finals and Mikado 3v3 tourney finals are up. I usually get bored of mirrors, but IMO ST Ryu vs. Ryu is one of the awesomest mirror matches in all fighting games. There's a nice Ryu mirror in the first vid. Haven't watched the Mikado matches yet. + Show Spoiler [Match Vids] + Game Newton Shiro (Ryu) vs. tomo (Ryu); AFO (Blanka) vs. Buta Gorilla [Shogatsu] (O.Honda); winner vs. winner Mikado (1/3) Mikado (2/3) Mikado (3/3)

Also I've been meaning to ask, what the hell are the special moves where one of them rises into the air, there's a background splash screen, and NOTHING happens (except for an apparent frame disadvantage)? Konoha even did one and then lost the round immediately because it put her at frame disadvantage and ate some move Didn't see that end coming at all o:

Why would you not block low in that first round, especially after already eating the first combo off a low? Instant air double jump (low jump) -> dj.E is an overhead that leads into her ground combo. It's actually impressive how fast the opponent was able to switch from low block to high block when he saw Konoha jump. Unfortunately, he didn't expect jump -> fast-fall -> low hit, probably because fast-fall is exclusive to the Wind Arcana. ![]() Also I've been meaning to ask, what the hell are the special moves where one of them rises into the air, there's a background splash screen, and NOTHING happens (except for an apparent frame disadvantage)? Konoha even did one and then lost the round immediately because it put her at frame disadvantage and ate some move It's a burst. It can be used once per round, and it drains your super bar. It's almost(?) completely safe, because you can block as soon as your invincibility ends, and dodge (4D) if you anticipate an air-unblockable. In AH1, you were vulnerable to throws even while "invincible", but I'm not sure if that's still true in AH2.6. Its biggest weakness is that it usually leaves you in (big) frame disadvantage, especially when baited. There are some situations when you can get enough frame advantage for a free hit / combo, though.
