basically the sagat player ultra'd after viper's whiffed ultra. the viper player concedes by standing up when the ultra is in it's animation. the sagat player decides to celebrate by standing up BUT teh viper was crouch blocking and his knee must of flew over viper's head. i guess viper went and punished him. really fucking funny with j-wong and his boys going crazy until the watch the screen again
if you look more closely Kensou stands up too, he just sits back down a hell of a lot faster. I THINK that viper crouches during her ultra recovery or something?? Or she's just short. I know that shit would've hit gief at that range.
It was rather surprising, you can see that even justin wong is surprised on the video. You can see on the video some random guy on the left notice like "oh shitttttttt" too. shit was hype before the recorded matches, people yelling "low tier sagat" and a bunch of people gathered around. One of the bigger crowds up to that point for a non-finals match had gathered (except for I think maybe Clint (ATL) vs. Long Island Joe). You might be able to hear them yell "it's mahvell baby" when viper does that dizzy combo in the first round in the vid. I feel sorry for liston he's not a bad player just he should've just jabbed because it would've done enough damage to kill viper.

When you like to get high it makes all games better! What's really impressive is their ability to smoke BEFORE matches? That's proof in itself that the scene are a-okay with substances. Where do they blaze!?!
I actually play a much better starcraft while high or drunk cause it makes you carefree and takes off the stress. In fighting games you need much better reflexes though and it sounds weird to me these guys can actually play better when high.
In one of the gootecks podcasts, 5 Star / Yi Wang definitely said that to improve your 3s game you should get high with all your friends and watch / talk about 3s to see it from a new perspective.
Somehow, I doubt the legitimacy of that advice haha.
Reason it would help in tournaments even though it slows reflexes is that it would help tremendously in keeping your cool during pressure situations.
Look at that huge crowd yelling during the liston / kensou match and tell me you wouldn't get nervous, even in situations you're 100% familiar with, with all of the south & east coast cheering and jeering
And under all that, kensou nailed that sick focus juggle. What a beast.
This is all theory / what I've been told. I'm 100% teetotaler, even when playing for money

Seriously, I've found that a sugar high makes me play a LOT worse.
It makes me revert back to my "habitual" play, instead of staying calm, analysing my opponent and myself, and consciously deciding what to do next.
Back when Alpha2 was /the/ game a lot of SoCal's top players would do a lot of ecstasy before a tournament. They had to constantly eat lollipops to keep their mouths closed.
