Heres a list of teams:
MSP = Magneto / Storm / Psylocke MSS = Magneto / Storm / Sentinel Matrix = Storm / Sentinel / Cyclops Santhrax = Storm / Sentinel / CapCom Watts = Blackheart / Sentinel / CapCom (Captain Commando) Clock = Strider / Sentinel / Doom (Short for Clockwork) MST = Magneto / Storm / Tronne MSC = Magneto / Storm /Cyclops MSentC = Magneto / Sentinel / Cyclops SSC = Storm / Sentinel / Cable Fiend (combofiend) = Ironman / Magneto / Sentinel Julius = War Machine / Ironman / Dr. Doom Duc = Spiral / Cable / Sentinel Row= Mag/Cable/Sentinel Team Zaza = Wolverine/ Bonerine / Sentinel Team Shoto = Ryu / Ken / Akuma Team Suck = Roll / Servbot / Dan Team Balls = Any team with Zangief in it
Coolest teams imo.
oh yeah, another team I see often up here among new players is Cable/Capcom/Cyclops. You do mad run away with cable building meter while spamming/protecting Capcom and Cyclops assists. When an assists hits, you AHVB your opponent. Rinse and Repeat.

My arcade just got Mortal Kombat II. FANTASTIC. Next time I go with some friends there's gonna be money matches. I like my Raiden.

My main team is Mag/Cable/CapCom.
I use mag to do as much damage as possible + build max meter, then ues cable for the kill. I find CapCom's assist is the best for zoning with Cable, especially for people who try to rush down, and it helps when they try corner trap + cross up on you.

Who's gonna get 360 version we should have bi-weekly battles on like a friday night or whenever people dont work. Me and MC are poor college kids so time doesnt matter to us imo

For starting marvel, storm is usually a great character to learn. She can rush, turtle, run etc at will and her standard combo into super is pretty easy. Cable / Storm / AA is a pretty nice starter team. I know I used it a lot haha. Can switch in storm first for meter building, but being able to dhc into hailstorms is nice enough to keep her second.
Any TLers that want some matches in 4, I'm TheEvilTree on PSN. Can't decide between ken and sim just yet, will need a shitload of practice with both anyway though ^^

i can't do infinites worth shit, and i can't cancel flight fast enough to use sentinel, so i stick with storm/cable/psylocke or storm/cable/capcom usually

then again, I never tried to get good because there's no arcade within 25 miles of where I live (maybe there is, I just haven't found it?) and beating the computer doesn't really require me to get any better ><

Sentinel can be played pretty basic and still be effective, it's part of why team Scrub is team Scrub.
I'm a fan of SSCable even if it's a bit harder to win with than Santhrax sometimes.

@KOF:
Cable/Storm/Doom or Cable/Storm-y/Cyclops might be a good fight for you if that's how you play (for now)
The latter is called team "eder"
Oh and steroids: Gief/hulk/Juggy mike Z: Doom/Juggy/Tron
EDIT: Have to add...
Playing sentinel is a matter of pressing the right buttons at the right time, Eventually, you'll get a feel for how you zone and flight cancel faster and stompdown a lot safer.
Sentinel is very fun to play, really =P
I'd suggest those teams instead of capcomm or psy because at least with those teams.
a) It can catch runaways a lot better (well, capcomm is great for that too... but...) b) you need an assist to help cable force them to make mistakes or just help him nail his super. Usually this route takes an assist which can zone and chip decently and effectively. Sent-Y is so good at doing that and in the process, just allows capcomm to help him catch runaways more (added to the fact that Sent/Commando is a filthy good duo =O)
Storm-proj can't do that well enough if you're pairing them with Cable/Commando or Cable/Psy.
c.) Doom and Cyclops can fight better than Psylocke on point. Still good to know given that Cable/Storm don't exactly have a great chemistry compared to Cable/Sent and Cable/Mag-projectile.
etc etc...
I main Scrubclops (Cable/Sent/Cyke) though I also use clockwork, MSP, Matrix, Eder and scrub for tourney play but I play pretty much a buttload of teams and low-tiers... *shrug* My advice is that if you can't learn Sent yet (or not have the patience to, not that it'll take you too long to learn) learn Cyke. Very very very good character, his position on the charts is arguable with Ironman and strider (with doom).
Relatively, at the highest level of play, Cable is (IMO) The hardest to play. its all about the abstracts and the metagame for cable, forcing mistakes, zoning, poking etc. Usually harder to flat out dominate with that compared to Mag rushdown, storm's everything and sentinel's brute force and speed.

that was way more detail that i expected in an explanation, thanks a bunch man I don't know if I'll ever make use of it, I don't know if I've loaded my copy of MvC2 in months (I did play on a cruiseboat this past winter break, but no one else was ever in there playing and I beat the computer fully through like 5 times with various teams) and I think I've ever played an actual person in the last....4 years or so haha
Thanks again tho
