Thoughts on riftshards on cd?
They serve different purposes. shamans headress just gives you a fuck more suvivability if they have lots of spell damage where sh just makes you magic imune. Tbh, I wouldn't get sh on cd, just get headress if they haev a few nukers.

Steam boots/treads give +10 to a stat of your choice which is a lot of hp/mana/mana regen/as etc. Everyone in hon loves ghost marchers dunno why, you don't want them on your hero most of the time.

I feel the opposite. Each type of boot makes a big impact, even though it may be a subtle. I don't have much experience with post haste, but from experience getting it on gankers really early or easy farming heroes such as soul stealer make your usefulness skyrocket. Can gank periodically and have supreme map control and rune when runes warded. I know its expensive thats why I don't get it often
The one that's under utilized I feel is plated graves with armor early game can increase survivability but also to teammates!! seriously people use this more...
Steam boots feel like they lack something... However i usually get this on carries who benefit from the atk speed.

Post for great farmers/pushers (ss, tort). Provides map control and superior movement speed, but lacks survivability.
Steam usually for carries, due to the fact it gives +25 attack speed (35 later) and 190 hp early. Can be set on int for specific purposes, and use it to heal more than usual.
Ghost for gankers, like witch, and panda. 110% movement speed phase gives excellent gank oppotunities.
Plated for tanks and pushers. Tempest, defiler, armadon.
Wish want to play together? This is ek.LL if you remember me.

Ghost marchers are extremely hero dependent, 9/10 you should get steamboots instead.

Oh DW is good for ghost as well.

Haha. Kraken is so much fun though, you can smell the frustration in the enemy when you keep picking them for easy ganks whenever your cooldowns off.

Oh man, mock bird ophelia is so much fun. Last game I had a 17 kill bird with a 30 charge bloodstone, mock, and dagon 5. I was raged at sooo hard.

pleated boots are sick on:
Legionaire Soul Reaper Defiler Tempest Accursed Ophelia etc. etc.
as for the ghost marchers thing... i would get gm on maybe blacksmith, most of the times, i just go for steam

The main thing with plated boots is that more than 1 on a team is too much, so most people build treads as intel for stats, or ghost marchers to gank. I think that the match up is more significant than the hero for what boots you want.

Where are you guys.

The tank build works fine. You can conduit for auto-attack damage in teamfights. HotBL, Headdress, Barbed Armor, then Geometer's or Frostburn. For boots, Ghost work better than Steam, imo. If you trade in your boots for Post Haste, I think Heart is a nice 6th item to finish out the build. yeah, it really depends on your playstyle though and how your team plays. if you're going to be ganking a ton with cd, phase is probably better cuz you're gonna needa chase them down. if your team is really actively ganking, imo treads are better. also if teamfights start really early on, treads are better, cuz you're not gonna be chasing down people as much as just attacking enemies as they're getting ganked or in team fights It's down to personal preference, of course.... I used to get steamboots on him cuz I thought "I have a passive that gives me movespeed, blahblahblah." Then I realized that I only get that movespeed when people cast things on me, and if I've got my ult on and barbed armor up they don't tend to cast on me very much. Mostly they run away. soo yea
Incorrect, movespeed increase is a passive.
