6.65 is out
Any thoughts on this? At first glance the top picks/bans in 6.64 all got nerfed. Panda, Razor, Medusa, Sniper etc.
Also noteworthy is that DP got her movement speed buff back, but I don't see her as the 6.59d monster with the recent nerfs to Bloodstone and HoT.
Two new heroes introduced, to me the Murloc guy looks pretty underwhelming but the ice guy looks to be pretty powerful.

new map is awesome!
Best addition is TP query - the thing most top players noted as easiest "solution" to the so called "asian dota" phenomenon, because now you can't have your main carry solo somewhere and whenever he gets ganked your whole team TPs there and kills all gankers T_T. Now everyone teles 1 at a time, so ganking should be viable again = more exciting games to watch.
About the new heroes - I played some friendly games with them and I my 1st impressions are mixed:
Ancient Apparition
Cold Feet: Active
+ Show Spoiler +The Apparition curses his foes with The Frozen Mark which will freeze enemies to the ground. Unless target enemy moves at least 740 away from the mark within 4 seconds he is frozen still.
Damage per second: 37.5/50/62.5/75 Stun duration if triggered: 1.25/2/2.75/3.5
Cooldown: 15/13/11/9 Manacost: 90 Target: Single
Note: Target takes damage per second until he is stunned or moves out of range. This spell seems very useful, but MUST be used in combination with a stunner / slower from your team. Since this IS his best spell - single DoT-ish nuke and disable, he will pretty much HAVE to line with proper 2 or 3 line to actually work.
Ice Vortex: + Show Spoiler +Active
Gathers ancient frost energy into one area to create a small, immobile ice vortex at a location. Whenever enemies are near it, their movement speed and magical resistance are reduced.
Movement Reduction: 18/22/26/30 Magic Resistance: -10/15/20/25 AOE: 275
Duration: 12 Cooldown: 6 Manacost: 80/90/100/110 My opinion on this spell is rather mixed (just like of the hero itself ^^). There is rarely good situation to use this spell, yet some sick combos can be executed with it (Pugna's Decrepify anyone?), but really if you want to make it's potential full you need a hero like Dark Seer or Magnus to gather all ur enemies @ 1 place. Low cooldown on the other hand allows for A LOT of spamming later in the game, which might prove to be extremely useful when chasing someone after a successful battle (or ofc running away after a failed one)
Note: Casting range is INSANE
Chilling Touch: Active + Show Spoiler + Releases a gust of cold wind at a target area, enchanting allied heroes with bonus magical damage on their attacks. Lasts for a limited number of attacks up to a maximum of 40 seconds. While the enchanted heroes have this chilling touch, their attack speed is reduced by 15%.
Maximum number of attacks: 2/3/4/5 Bonus Damage: 40/50/60/70 Attack Speed Reduction: -15% Cooldown: 50/46/42/38 Manacost: 140
Another late game killer. Useful in all situations, but some heroes can be pretty SICK with it (just imagine Kunka, dealing 70 more to the already powerful splash, not to mention Ursa, who's instant spike will be even more instant :O).
Ice Blast (Ultimate) Active + Show Spoiler + Ancient Apparition projects his presence out to make way for a powerful ripple of hailstone and dark magic. Once cast, it can release the spell to strike targets within 200 area of where his presence was upon release. It will deal damage to enemy units and apply a frostbite curse on them for 7 seconds where their health regeneration will be frozen and will shatter if they fall close enough to death. This spell has global range depending on how long you wait for the projections to move. Frostbitten units will take minor damage over time.
Impact Damage: 250/350/450 Shatter Threshold: 10/11/12%
Cooldown: 44/32/20 Manacost: 100/125/150
Note: You can charge (non-channeling, time based) this as long as you want if you want it to travel further outwards. Has an initial aoe of 200, but increases by a small amount the further it travels.
Very useful spell, might be hard to use properly unless you're very good with it OR your enemies don't know how to dodge it, although in the middle of a battle right in front of you dodging might prove to be quite hard to happen.
The ultimate is very powerful, but again small AoE limits it's capacities, but combining it with DS or Magnus will prove to be extremely deadly, virtually dealing 450 dmg +12% max health worth of damage at lvl 16.
My overall 1st impression of Ancient Apparition is quite nice. He seems like a good team play hero that requires skill to play. Not overpowered, but definitely not useless either. Only problem I see is that maybe 2 of the other picks of your team have to be specifically devoted to filling his gaps and "helping" him use his skills, which might be counter pick-able.
Murloc Nightcrawler
I really don't want to speak about him much. He's plain IMBA in my honest opinion.
He has Mirana's leap, but better. He has a freakin 300 dmg AoE spell that costs 40 mana (and 150 life) with 10 sec recharge, he drains your stats giving himself dmg and atk speed (this lvl 1 passive virtually gives you +42dmg against Str heroes, 23 against others, draining mana as well!) which is just not fair.
I can't even imagine how they gave him such powerful ult after all these already strong spells. His ult at lvl 1 gives him HoT regeneration with a SHIT load of MS while he's out of enemy line of sight, and this is passive! He can even activate it to become perma invisible for 5.5 seconds, allowing him to escape from pretty much ANY gank.
At least Ice Frog learned his lesson and forbid this heroes from CM which means that new version will most probably be used for competitive play straight away.
I can keep talking all night about hte new version but it's probably TLTR anyway and it's kinda 6:30 am so I should probably be going to sleep soon.
AND YES, SANTA IS A LIE - HE DIDNT COME T_T (although on a 2nd thought I might have missed him while playing dota >.> )

Some carrys nerfed, some former picked int-heros buffed, tp weakened, boots in sideshop, new item
Urn of Shadows
+ Show Spoiler +Requries: - Sobi Mask (325) - 2x Gauntlets of Strength (300) - Recipe (250) Total: 875
Provides: + 50% Mana Regeneration + 6 Strength + Active
Starts with 0 charges. Each time an enemy hero dies near you, it gains a charge. The first charges increments by 2, so it goes 0/2/3/4/5/etc Each usage of the item decreases the charge by 1.
Each hero death can only charge up one of these items per death, so more than one hero having this will not increase the charges for both of the items.
Can be cast on an ally to heal, dispels on non-creep damage. Can alternatively be cast on an enemy hero to do half the heal (200) as damage over 8 seconds.
Heal: 400 HP over 8 seconds Cooldown: 10
to help gangs. If Sven farms first 3 waves, does fb, shops boots and goes for the next kill with 200 extradmg packed its just another level of lanecontrol/roaming .

murloc with MoM gets to 150 agi ez, add his ult to that = imba
apparition gets such ez kills throwing ulti out and shit, pretty fun but kinda hard to aim at first
gondar's new jinada allows you to skip SnY or stack it with jinada for imba maim. I personally went MoM on gondar

Even if it does work, what's the reason in using a 100+ mana spell just to make another spell work? You get nothing from Ice Vortex early on, so if you just have a stunner like Vengeful Spirit or mb Slardar, with short CD / low mana cost stun, you get to spam A LOT more Cold Feet, which makes the spell much more effective.
