scream is an aoe attack, it doesn't matter which direction she's facing.

When should you get BoT? The inclusion of the new Treads makes me wonder. I'm guessing heroes that primarily auto-attack would be good with the Treads, and those dependent on using their abilities more would probably be best with Travels, right? 2. I'm terrible at farming. Past the opening few levels, it seems that my income is not up to par with other heroes. For example, I see hero builds containing two, three, or four expensive items, and I rarely get more than the second. Do I just need to constantly sit in a lane and push it back to the river until it's safe to cross it? Not this again (--v)

People skip circlet/bracer because of how the metagame is in the current/recent versions. It's more of a gank-oriented game than before which was more like an aoe/push style. QoP is easily among the best 3 heroes in the game simply because of how the game has evolved. Blink is the best item, and probably one of the best skills. It's hard to gank someone who knows how to blink properly, and yes there is a difference between those that know how to blink and those who just use it in that ' danger ' moment to get away from a hero. Most QoP I see build like this: If it's a lane qop [ meaning not solo ] she usually picks up bottle since she has good rune control with blink and scream allows harass and farm at the same time. You make it sound like every qop you've seen goes Perserverance but it is the complete opposite from what I have seen. Very few players go perserverance. If it's solo QoP, most start out with some kind of combination of branches/tango. If you're not playing against nukers then intel mantle is also acceptable. Whenever I played carry QoP for my team I almost always went 1 intel mantle, 1-2 sets of tango, branches to fill. Later I turned into 1 null and worked boots [ of speed ] or skipped them entirely and went straight to necro 1 after which I would buy boots then finish necro 3. Some games though you want to get sheep. Skill build is arguable. Before they made shadow strike speed reduction vary at different levels it was always 1 level of ss, blink, and scream. Personally I get one level of blink, then one level of ss, then 3 screams and work stats. Depending on the other lineup I usually just keep blink at one and get stats instead because with my 1 null and stats it's easy to have enough mana+hp for any kill even if you only have 1 level of blink with a long cooldown. There's not really a wrong way to build QoP though as long as you get scream as your first priority. SS at level 4 now is a lot better than it was before. The main reason I still keep it at level 1 though is because I just need the slow for ganks and whoever is shadow striked can still get denied so sometimes it doesn't even help you. Bracers into skadi doesn't really help your team and I've only seen it when the QoP is left alone for most of the game or just doesn't get ganked in general. Remember, items aren't only for you try to help your team... Btw I'm basing this off of my competitive experience[HTGL-Pro, CAL-O/IM, TGL] and watching replays on a pretty regular basis of pro sponsored teams. [ Not anymore though, my team just decided to call it quits in leagues before winter break ] I still watch reps from time to time.

From what I've heard, playing in a pub results in more of a super-farm build as opposed to coordinate league play, which is probably why pub QoP prefer the Pers/Skadi kind of thing. IE. why I've seen Slardar in pubs go HoM rather than the usual uber-bracer-blink build <_<

3 damage skills and blink so that you can use them makes for an utter, complete bitch. Once. She doesn't have the mana, hp, or regen to do it twice (or even once at low level!), so QOP's opponents don't have shit to worry about after she's used a decent amount of mana. Solo QOPs can't really afford to run around checking runes (exceptions always exist, but I am speaking generally), so bottle is not very popular in that case. Perseverance lets QOP farm while regaining the threat of triple nuke.

he wrote the book on it and its sequel But eh, I prefer bottle on QoP. chicken -> 2 mantles, bottle, boots, 2 bracers, -> skadi or necromicon depending. Usually skadi.

Which has no effect on my near-maniacal abuse of bottle deliveries on pubbie games ![]()

Solo QOPs can't really afford to run around checking runes (exceptions always exist, but I am speaking generally), so bottle is not very popular in that case. Perseverance lets QOP farm while regaining the threat of triple nuke. where the heck did you get this idea from? haha the reason she can solo pretty well is because of her ability to use bottles well. with early wards you can keep yourself laned for extended periods of time. without a bottle qop has a lot of mana problems early game, when you want to do some weird combination of all her spells sometimes you run out before you can cast the finishing nuke. linkens is good on her too, of course depending on the other teams lineup. i usually just start with 4 tangoes and 5 branches, go pers if im going linkens, if not then either guinsoo/skadi and if i'm feeling rich and "aZn" dagon 5 ftw loll

Assuming your team will supply you with a chicken for the bottle as well as wards for the runes, you could get a bottle and use it for regen. I'll concede that. But it's still going to take over 10 seconds, possibly closer to 20, to go to a rune spot and refill and go back to lane. You're going to miss experience and denies, and if the other team's got wards, it may be unsafe to be so far from tower (it's possible you're going for rune with low hp). I'm not saying it's impossible, but I don't think it's ideal. For a similar cost, you could be doing bottle deliveries, or that much faster of a perseverance. As for the skill build, I usually get level 1 blink and ss, with maxed out scream. If I remember correctly, QOP's mana pool simply isn't big enough to allow blink, scream, ult, and ss. I don't think it's enough to even do only the first three. I guess the branches would help there. And anyone referring to anyone else (including self) as "aZn" will be regarded by me as in the same class as the "1337 H4X0RZ".

a bottle gives you "burst" regeneration of health/mana which imo comes more handy to qop as she needs to be able to regen mana fast to cast her spells if needed faster a good qop won't get caught easily going for runes if they know how to use blink. the only way a team will gank a qop will be a really organized one that utilizes fog of war and such. blink is godlyyyyyy
