1 tank/semi carry ( ra or elec )
1 support
3 hard carries ( like two ranged and a melee )
Disco if someone picks scout or nh.
lol
At that level when you try to make a team who makes SENSE you end up being outcarried by some really dumb line ups.

The more i play this game, the more i think the ideal line up for pub 1500-1650 is something like 1 tank/semi carry ( ra or elec ) 1 support 3 hard carries ( like two ranged and a melee ) Disco if someone picks scout or nh. 3 hard carries is going to mean someones underfarmed and will be feeding. In my bad pub player opinion a basic team for just winning matchmaking games would be. A hero who can win mid and control the early game. Succubus Long lane a support and a farmer. Magmus/Valk Short lane should be able to get kills if against a solo and win in farm if not. Glacius/Ra Ra and Valk can both carry while having some earlygame presence. Magmus is initiation. Succubus is early ganks. Glacius is ward bitch the whole game.

Just play him hotbl red boots and headress into post haste and portal key and jump on people all day while farming.

We're gonna lose all games most likely but at least I'd like to play a hero I can be comfortable with (last time I ended up playing Kunkka solo lane vs Bane Elemental and Lion lane). yes, but you're better off playing somebody like CM or VS for support, plus they're closer ports in hon than veno is. While I love glac in HoN I despise CM in DotA. Her animations are just atrocious and the hero feels clunky at best overall. VS I could do, but since we'll be playing -cm it might not be available for us. That's why I asked about veno, so I can have a hero I could fall back on if things go sideways.

I'm completly bipolar when i play this game. I'm like mannered 4 games out of 5 but then there is always that one game where i try my best to be a complete jerk and i'm enjoying it. Maybe that's the real game in HoN ( and in pub team games in general ), like hacking is the real game in D2. lol

just started to get into HoN (even though i have dota2 lmao). i play on the SEA server and queue with 1 or 2 other friends won like most of our games pretty easily, but still a tad confused. could someone point me to where i could see the differences between HoN and DotA? in terms of items, mechanics, and maybe the FotM heroes now (amun rah?). thanks!

That's a really general question - there are a lot of differences and a lot of similarities Hag - Queen of Pain Plague rider - lich Pyromancer - Lina pebbles - tiny valkyrie - mirana Devourer - Pudge Witch slayer - Lion ... I can go on.. FotM heroes are generally the S2 heroes because the general opinion is they are usually a little overpowered: Amun - Ra Nomad Warden Big support heroes are usually: demented shaman, glacius, witch i dno There are just so many things to talk about without even starting on items; the basic ones are pretty easy like Phase boots = ghost marchers Treads = steamboots vanguard = helm of the black legion branch = minor totem magic stick/wand = mana battery/power supply desolator = shield breaker BKB = shrunken head MKB = savage mace ... So .. many.. things.. ><

It's a few patches behind but the big stuff like item and hero correlations are still there.

Instead of staying afk in pool and getting kicked, you can have some fun with the autist kid who picked scout for example. I can troll from the start though. :> I don't start a game with the intention of griefing. But when i'm paired with idiots or if we are down 0-10 within ten minutes and we are up against a beefy line up well if they don't cc i usually stop to play or grief. But don't get me wrong the funniest part is the trashtalk and this can also happen in a "normal" game.

I honestly don't understand how you can have some fun when you are in that situation. The right solution would be to cc and that what the "pros" do but sadly in pub games there is always the scout kid with his perfect record of X/0/0 who thinks he can win. That's when the trashtalk/grief game starts. Should have a cc 10 option and less votes needed to pass the cc. Even if i'm not too fond of Sc2, there is something great about it. The average game lasts less than 15 minutes. And PvP ( a pretty shitty mu ) is around something like 10-12 minutes last time i checked. So even if the game suck it is over quick, same thing with team games. You don't have to stay with the same morons for 40+ minutes. If they suck or you suck the game is over in ten minutes. Now imagine a full protoss 4x4 where buildings have 200x more health and you are forced to stay in game because a cool kid has built a mothership and thinks he can beat the maxed 800 army of the ennemy. It would suck right ?
