I gave HoN a try over this weekend and I see discrimination towards F2P players :/ I joined a 1500+ MMR game and they kicked me for being a f2p player, even though if they took a look at my stats they would've seen that I was vastly better than them (former DotA player)...
One thing that doesn't really appeal to me is the autobalance. If a player is very good, the AB will give him terrible teammates, which makes for frustration for that good player when his teammates don't understand anything. Sure it makes it more "fair" but makes for a worse experience for the better players (at least if playing solo).

Yeah, them too, but they hardly ever come up. I usually just farm the yellows for 3 minutes and then try OJs

i'd just report the one who initiated the kick just picking a bad hero isn't a valid reason for a kick now if you fed like 5 kills in 20 mins that be a bit different.
kicking for monkey king is the response the forum dwellers came up with to show their discontent with the early access feature. just report them and move on, you dont get leaves for getting kicked either. they, however, get bans.

I think you mean catmen but I'm not really sure The blue kind is dangerous but the brown one is also dangerous. Avoid at all costs
