That's one thing that bothered me when I started playing HoN. Dumbing down everyone's attack animation takes away depth to play each hero and the game as a whole too.

Mofucka autoattacks like he's been concussed with a multitude of bricks.

I'll always complain flint has the worst auto attack early game not because of his attack animation, which is pretty fucking awesome, but his base damage. He literally does like 40 dmg when everyone else is doing like 50+ SR's auto attack is slow as hell but its still way better than 99% of dota hero animations.

For instance in dota witch doctor's animation was ungodly slow, but in hon it's only slightly slower. As the game gets faster the differences between the animations have to decrease, and it is in no way dumbed down. Also lh'ing with flint requires you to attack a lot later then pretty much every other character, both because of the low dmg and instant travel time. If dont properly he's a much better lh'er than most heroes.

We had a chipper go mid and feed 4 kills to their pyro mid in 8 minutes. Both sidelanes got ganked and Chipper sat in the well until 15 saying he didn't want to lower his stats. Then had a pharaoh who spammed remake after picking stages, gave up bloodlust then said "lagging" and dc'd. He was instantly terminated and it looks like he just joined another game. We had no initiation and didn't have a mid anymore so cc'd at 15. I guess you have to expect massive retardation if you solo queue at 1500-1600 level.

My reply to him was something that a kid on TL said to me like 4 years ago and I ended up saving it this long, lol. It was a hateful post directed at poor me who did nothing but ask a few questions and try to contribute to this thread. I think a temp ban would do him some good, let him think about what he did I remember, a couple of years ago on TeamLiquid, I too was temp banned for a couple of days. I'm pretty sure it was for 2 days. It came as a shock to me - temp bans are only for bad posters! And I was certainly not a bad poster! But during the two days I was banned, I got to think about what I did. I was just a young teen then, just 15 or 16. I was the one-liner guy that always interrupted a thread, with no thought or sense in any of my words. I would post and never look back again. I posted simply because I COULD post. But my posts weren't thought out and they never had any merit for discussion in them. Just like JeeJee, sometimes I would post hateful comments at someone, but I was never banned for them because I was able to cleverly hide my caustic language behind a heavily veiled wall of sarcasm and hyperbole. I also never directly any of my posts specifically at one user, but everyone would know who I was talking about. I continued posting like this, for weeks, months, until that one day where I got temp banned by Hot_Bid. I remember, the anger, the sadness I felt when I opened the PM. "You have been temp banned for two days". It hurt my pride and ego to read that PM. For two days, I was restricted to being a shameful lurker, reading discussions but never allowed to participate in them. I would read some of the other posts, by users not very different from me. They were bad, one-liners that carried no thought whatsoever. I slowly realized, what kind of a person I was. My posts were not contributing to TeamLiquid! In fact, the website would have been better off without me and my one-liner posts! I began to brush up on my grammar and spelling, in preparation for the day that I would be unbanned from TeamLiquid. And at last, the day had finally arrived. I was unbanned from TeamLiquid. I opened a thread, itching to use my reclaimed right to post again. I clicked a blog- some random blog. "Cool story bro" I typed into the white box and as I was about to click the post button, I remembered "No! This is exactly the kind of post that got you into trouble in the first place! Why post at all, if it's neither helpful nor encouraging?" My pointed backed away from the post button and instead hovered over the 5 star. I sat down a composed a lengthy post, one that would spark discussion and intelligent debate. I previewed, and check my post over and over, to make sure that everything was right, and when it finally was, I posted it. Now, speaking from personal experience, I would like to argue that temporary bans are beneficial to the individual poster. It gives them time to realize what they have done wrong, and gives them a second chance. I would guess that a majority of the time temp banned users come back with an entirely different attitude. They know they did wrong, and they are going to fix it. Now that I think about it, I got temp banned from some dumbass fucking beta key roulette Hot_Bid was hosting where 1/20 on a page got an sc2 beta key and the rest 19/20 were temp banned for two days. Fuck that was the dumbest roulette I've ever seen. And I'm pretty sure JeeJee was just joking

Dumbing down everyone's attack animation takes away depth to play each hero and the game as a whole too. I agree with this. They mostly decreased the attack point and kept long backswings to encourage animation canceling, which is a little silly. There are some where it's super obvious, like how glacius has 10000% better autoattack than CM and much better damage. The closest is probably torturer or hag. Here's the detailed list : http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/archive/index.php/t-29651.html Old, but not that old. Only missing DR and one or two others. Bubbles seems to have the longest attack if you don't cancel at 1.3 seconds with a 0.8 second backswing. Rampage (0.6 damage point) Soul Reaper (0.53, and Hag (0.56) ) seem to be the three slowest. Fastest attackers are Flint(0.17), Slither (0.25), polly (0.3), valk (0.3), magebane (0.3), succubus(0.3), CD (0.3), Chipper (0.35), hb(0.35) Projectile speed is where things vary a lot, CD is 2000 and Flint is 3000 while Bubbles/Sr/polly/nymph/mq/defiler/valk/succubus/pyro/tort/hb are 900, which makes them have really poor last hitting compared to the first two (if damage isn't greatly different). This is why SR/tort feel so shitty, their projectiles are over twice as slow as heroes who launch them about 1.5x as fast anyways. Hag is something of a special case - 1500 projectile speed despite having an awful animation. CD, Chipper, and Flint to a lesser extent have by far the best lasthitting in the game though. Aluna isn't actually as good as I thought she was - 0.4/0.4 , 1050 speed. I'm not really looking that close at melee heroes.

Dropped from 1750 to 1700, I'm on my way back up but still, holy shit
