lumi is very good if you know the basics (speaks quickly and uses acronyms for every hero & item,
but is very informative)
Nebu1a is kinda funny, but you won't really learn much, however watching any of his dual casts with luminous is much better. idk about ijb.

I only watch luminous. Every other caster has too many fillers and mispronounces too many things. Luminous still mispronounces a few things (he says "Scourged Earf" instead of "Scorched Earth") but its mostly a language barrier thing. He keeps talking no matter what and its 96% relevant.

in dota the towers have an auto heal for backdoor, if you don't get the tower it'll start healing automatically

Most popular mmr is 1650-1700
1850+ is 99th percentile

I ignored about 1% of the players (everyone below 800psr). Sucks for them.

According to my data, 84.02% of hon players are terminally brain-damaged, and 97.27% don't have a basic understanding of this game. Only 0.26% are legitimately good. And I bet those numbers are deflated due to smurfs.

Now you wonder why everyone rages in hon.

Given that only about 4% of that number is online at any given time during US peak times, 8% during EU times, I'd guess the number of actually unique individuals playing is probably something more like 100,000? Where did the number 250,000 come from for your graph?

My 500k number comes from the bragging email S2 sent out to everyone about reaching 500,000 accounts. Since there's no way to reset stats without paying $$ half of those are probably subaccounts since they cost the exact goddamn same amount as a stat reset and actually give you a new account and not just new stats. It's tiring to play 1800+ TMM all the time and sometimes you just want to play lower level games. Sure it sucks for the shitty players and no doubt it would be abused to an extent by the higher level players if new accounts were free but if those above 1800 make up such a tiny margin of the population it wouldn't be a statistical problem. Look at ICCUP, it was never a problem outside of the whiney blogs people made (by which I mean not a REAL problem).

I have access to 8 accounts on which I am by far the primary player, 3 of which I've bought over the last 2 years, and not a single one is below 1700 CMM or 1800 NM (about equivalent in terms of queue time in my experience). I'm not trying to brag by saying that but simply to say that it gets irritating especially since almost nobody I play with has any accounts under 1800 either so we're always almost forced to play "tryhard" games.

Also if 1800+ is such a high percentile that's fucking depressing because in MM probably 90% of the above 1800s I've played with have been completely horrible. I really hope that Dota 2 has a gigantic userbase so that we can have a much better pool of "good" players. In HON 1800+ seems to be the "good" cutoff in many people's minds but in a never ending ladder season higher MMRs become rather meaningless. A system like a reset every 3 months would be better, but given that people already cry and whine ceaselessly about those who actually spend money to get clean stats I imagine that the outcry would be colossal if S2 were to do that.

I don't see how that is reconciled with there being only 200k on the ladder. It also says paid accounts so they can't include Garena. And there are no regions in HON.
