Blacksmith really doesn't have very many core items, after boots + some combination of bottle/chalice/powersupply/manaring you just roam the map ganking things Any extra money is usually pumped into support items, wards/stormspirit/sheepstick/puzz/pushstaff/wards/idol/astro/abyssal/nomes/etc Sacstone is kind of a crap item, and playing him as a semicarry with harkons is kind of funny but it's not very good. Besides that, if you really want to semicarry you need to get overleveled so you can x4 everyone (preferably with a codex too ofc)
Puzzlebox is good on tundra because he stuns things for an eternity and then slows them for forever and he gives his minions a lot of attackspeed Also his bird makes him really good at counterwarding
I think the standard for moraxus is boots/chalice/blink -> hotbl -> sheep or puzz or frostfield or manaring or whatever support item Nothing really makes him too much more powerful after blink/hotbl, so just get whatever your team needs the most Null and shrunken are kind of a waste because the enemy team probably won't be throwing too many spells at you since you're really difficult to kill with just a hotbl
Glacius is extremely reliant on good positioning, one misclick and you're dead pretty much instantly. You really really have to be sure you don't get caught out, even a glacius that is doing fairly well is usually still food for the opposing team. While laning you pretty much never do anything from less than max range, and during teamfights you just cast things from as far away as possible. I like treads/powersupply/RoB if I'm doing well and striders + some combination of powersupply/bracers/RoB if I'm doing poorly Greaves are just really underwhelming, you might as well keep the shield and unupgraded boots for more armor and a chance to upgrade to astrolabe later
Flare is really good at farming creeps and nuking people and killing things in general, in dota you maxed shrapnel first too. Usually you get 1 level in headshot and then max out range, I don't know why you would max headshot first unless you were up against a melee mid or something Generally you want to rush a geom for the much-needed survivability and damage, then get dps items like wingbow/rift/savage/purge (yes they stack with headshot), although if you're clearly going to outcarry your opposing team tanky items like nullstone/frostwolf/shrunken might be better
Tablet is good on any supportish hero
Puppet really needs steams/shrunken so he doesn't die instantly all the time. Shroud is kind of funny for huge nukes with your ult but it's not very good on him, shrunken does the job of keeping you alive much better Harkons I think isn't very good on him, he does a load of dps even without it and the survivability through whispering helm is way too good to give up for harkons I really like daemonic and hellflower on him, the extra attackspeed works well with his aoe crit and silencing things and having infinity armor helps you live longer
Sotm on hag is more for when you plan to gank them until you win and/or you aren't the main carry on your team Frostwolf is kind of a waste on hag, especially that early, you already have 2 really strong slows (with the ult) and it's not like you need help chasing since you have blink. If you really enjoy making things move slower you might as well get a frostfield or sheepstick If you want to carry really hard get dps items like hellflower/shieldbreaker/daemonic/savage, otherwise go for supportish items that help you teamfight/gank/put out damage/be more useful in general like frostfield/sheepstick/puzz/refresher

ah man the memories i joined a wc3 clan where i was a huge kid and everyone was always making fun of me so i quit and started playing 10 hours per day(on holidays) i got so good so fast that when i joined 6 months later again i would just rape them and it wouldnt be fun anymore.. every pub i joined in was boring because it was too easy so i just started playing random cws and that became fun again, but then people kinda quit playing i still remember every memory even though it was 1-3 years ago.. man might have to start playing again, though now im focusing on sc2 so anyway just wanted to say hi to all you dota folks you are the most awesome trolling community ever <3

So just tried HoN. Worst manner in the history of gaming. Really, even irl-mates being dicks cause you're new. Can't stand it, I even miss the stale SC glhf/gg.
Seriously, is it just me that had bad experience with players or what? Crying noob at any chance, insulting cause you can etc? Jesus Christ.

Imagine the rage you would feel if you did a 2v2 and your teammate didn't scout, didn't macro, and died to a harassment attack in the first 4 minutes. And it happened every game.

Thanks for the tips everyone! They are really helpful Played a couple games with these new ideas and I felt a lot more comfortable hehe.
And ya, lots of people in HoN are assholes you'll find it everywhere. Just try to cope with it and don't stoop down to their level and eventually you'll find some cool people. Let me know if you want to play some time!

People don't realize this. Most don't because they can't accept the fact that they're bad, and others don't because they've never been in a position before where they're so much more skilled than their allies. And everyone eventually becomes that asshole to their "irl friends" even if they're not "irl assholes" when they've blown past their friends' skill levels.

When I'm playing with my friends then I'm not playing to win. If the game doesn't mean anything, why would I get mad or berate them?

If you're playing with friends, you're not going to get mad at them (in the beginning, at least). You're probably going to be around the same skill level and you're going to have as much blame as the next guy. However, it no longer becomes "playing with friends" when they keep doing the same stupid shit over and over that makes the game not-so-fun (a.k.a. becomes a struggle and not play). Do you enjoy knowing that you're better than your opponent and losing every game? You choose to either stop playing or you try to help them improve (and you're going to naively choose the latter because they're your friends).
It's amazing how people do NOT accept advice willingly or effectively and keep doing the same shit over and over. Yeah, I was notorious for raging, but that's because players would repeatedly brush off friendly advice despite my most optimistic actions. That leads to what I posted earlier: "they can't accept the fact that they're bad, and... they've never been in a position before where they're so much more skilled than their allies."

That's a decision you have to make though: you either play with your bad friends and don't mind losing, or you play with good people. It can be really difficult to teach terrible people so that's probably not the best option.
