He didnt do anything spectacular, he could of easily not ran into panda and just gotten away. Probably coulda killed ES faster too. For a #1 play it just seemed lackluster.

Has anyone tried the new 3v3 map in HoN?

Although it's not entirely balanced for many heroes, it's a change from the pace of the classic 5v5 map. Just tried pesti+panda+DS, one of the most amazing lineups I could think of on this map.

we should ih on that map if we have some good players on. it's pretty awesome imo.
me riki and bhp have been playing it a bit but have yet to find any decent opponents in match making.

you could maybe counter pick succubus with tundra (his minion removes sleep right?)... but yeah pest is a bitch.

Magebane (or any blink hero really) is sick on that map. It's so small. You can almost blink from base to the rune. And from base to 2nd tower.

Yup, Succubus + Witchslayer + Arachna/Soulstealer/Bloodhunter/Madman/FA etc. is not even funny. You can solo each lane, you have your carry, you have enough disable for a 5 man team...

meh... magebane is useless on grimm's. it's all about rune control, early game (pre level 6) ganks and pushing. you don't really need an agi carry and choosing one would probably hurt more than help your team unless it's someone baller like swiftblade or valk. but imo it's better to get a high hp str ganker with an aoe stun (dw, pest, pebbles, pharoah, hammer etc.) as your carry on this map.

im definitely down to ih on this map. only tried one game but it's really fun, just constant action, ganking, etc

can anyone give me input on what heroes to get spellshards for?
so far ive gotten it on heroes like pyro mag and bombardier (REALLY good on bombardier :D)

but i can't really make a decision on who itd be good on or not. tried it on tb yesterday, didn't seem too great > <

Don't see why it's bad on TB, it does well with lightning rod too. Hag and chipper are also decent heroes to get it on. Maybe slither? I know you shouldn't stack it with harkons though

yeah i guess it is with your lightning bolt nuke and your ult, but two times in the game i went to nuke someone and ult and they got away with like 10 health and i started raging/crying T______T even with spellshards! sometimes my quick mental math calculations are off lolz

Well at lvl 3 your spells do as much damage as they say they do, unless the opposing hero has purchased additional magic armor.

Wouldn't spellshards be crazy on mmermadon, iirc his ulti allows him to do magic attacks rather than physical?

as a rule of thumb you can get spellshards on any hero with an aoe nuke + aoe ult if you dont lack something else (survivability or wards, for example).

just use your experience and your head when deciding which items to get - the other 9 heroes in your game aswell as your playstyle always matter, and there is no list of heroes it is "correct" to get the item on - there are just too many possibilities. if you have trouble with an itembuild in a specific game people can point out mistakes and help you that way, but there is no book or guide that can teach you how to play precisely optimal.

the only hero i never wanted to be without 'shards on is tb, by the way.

Shards is also dependent on when you can get them. If you are a hag and aren't matching/beating the entire other team in levels, its probably better to go for something else first since the enemy team will have a overall higher level hp. If you are dominating them in levels, then shards will maintain that lead rather than give you one. I see shards as an item that ends up being an item you get early if you are owning or later in the game when you need another way to up your dps (after you have good survivability/support)

Anybody else find it hilarious that Dampeer says "I need a chalice... of blood!"? (im pretty sure it's that)

I also think he's incredibly fun to play. His aura is great and seemingly borderline imba, haha.
