This reminds me that every once in a while I youtube search for myself to see if anyone put stuff up that i know they recorded and the other day I found a vid of some dudes recording over my shoulder at a tourney but the best part is that video info is like hyping me up like im even remotely well known player "This is none other than THE Red venom..."
Well I think it's about time to bring this thread back to life. Is anyone even playing this game anymore or are we all waiting for Super? How are you guys preparing to get better at Super? I'm getting ready by learning how to play Super Turbo to build up my fundamental skills and that's about it. I'm also starting to head out to the arcade more so I play a wide variety of players to just get more experience playing the game with other people next to me.
Been playing Demon's Souls and a little BW again. Pretty tired of 4 atm and Cammy's changes aren't really making me excited to crawl up in her and play. Juri flips a lot and seems strong, sad my bottom tiered main got the shaft though. Hopefully there are hidden hitbox / frame tweaks that allow her to poke then it would be okay with her CS being cut down by 1/3rd !_!. All forms = 100 dmg, wth is that.
I've been playing mass amounts of sf4 recently not so much to get ready for super but I feel like I have a better understanding of what I need to do to get better and how to go about getting there.
I'd be playing whether or not super was coming out, not sure if I'll even play any of the new characters at all. Gonna learn the basics for em just to know what they do, but aside from that I probably won't bother much. Balrog is the true american hero =)
...Though knowing myself, I'll probably try to play each of the top characters in order from the very top down until one of them clicks unless balrog is reasonably high lololol
On a side note, does anyone else find it really funny watching all the sc2 talk where every player is trying to fix/rebalance the game that's nowhere close to old or played enough for consistent strategies to have even taken hold? From the perspective of a fg player where we just take the game as is and not play the shitty characters, it just seems so goofy to see every bnetter get on a soapbox instead of just playing & learning this completely new, undeveloped game =P
It's pretty simple Trumpet, anyone with 6+ years of SC1, or God forbid WC3 experience can instantly see the flaws in the current state of the game at most after week's playtime. RTS are not FGs Hell, even I can see what's wrong with the current Beta build and I was never amongs the cream of the crop in SC1...
Obviously for every person that has legit complaints there are 10 random self-proclaimed gosus and 20 copper / bronze / silver newbies who can't even wrap their head around what they're really whining about, but you just have to ignore that. I'm pretty sure that part is the same in FG communities
