to me its a air to ground grab?? doesnt look like a counter ultra. wouldnt this be a fireball punisher? edit: nvm, found this vid probably gotta predict much sooner. | ||

I think it's more for teleport crossup shenanigans. Yeah it's an air to ground grab which means it won't connect during opponent's hit or blockstun. So probably something like mixing up yoga fire -> teleport crossup BnB with early yoga fire -> teleport ultra would work pretty well. I think it's one of the dumbest looking new ultras though, right up there with Akuma's new one. And that's saying something when you consider you can't even see what's happening in Akuma's first ultra :O | ||

Can't really try to predict what they'll be until the game is playable; I could definitely see it working off any anti air that doesn't knock down, though. | ||

This is the first I am seeing of this ultra. ROOOOOOFL. The legs are spinning but the body doesn't move! It might fit a character like Rufus, but on Akuma it just looks silly.  | ||

PS Am I the first one to, upon seeing Ryu's pregame comment for the first time, think he said "The answer lies at the end of a bottle" or something along those lines? My first impression was that Ryu had wandered off and become an alcoholic. | ||
