After watch all those interview with the developer all they talk about copying from other RTS that works for them. I worry this will be leak of creatives. Even the game name is boring. Come on "Stormgate" is the best they can come up with?

Those of you who looking for a good campaign mode don't put your hope to high. This is a free2play game. Which free2play game you played that even have campaign mode?

I think the dev stated that the 1st campaign will be free, and the rest will be paid content.

They released a new interview with the development team:

It is mostly things that have been said in previous interviews but a nice summary for those who haven't been keeping up.

It's nice to hear them reaffirm not only concerns about whether they want to do a good story mode, but also the same pillars of fun and accessibility that they've been touching on before. It feels like they know what they want to make, and we'd see more, but they want to make sure it's right first.

Also A+ kitty at the very end. Always watch to the end.

sounds very good, I like it. Also like the art direction. Would love to see some things in motion but I'd rather have them take their time and polish stuff a bit and get it as ready as they feel it needs to be rather than rush it

I believe in them and i think it's highly likely i'll want to play stormgate immediately when it releases, i like the tech stuff they talked about, totally like in game editors, these were kinda rare when editors were more common and indeed its the best for testing when you make levels!! and testing is very important and also makes it more fun to make levels etc. Plus it usually looks better while you're making the levels. I really like the scifi + fantasy (or even scifi vs fantasy : D) take on the identities of the factions. I hope for a lot of strategic+tactical depth 1vs1 and team / ffa etc.

The tech they're developing is exciting and the concept art for the Infernals looks awesome in my opinion. Not too sold on the human faction being called the Resistance. Sounds pretty generic and lame. I also feel as if the concept art for the Resistance's units is too polished for a faction that's supposed to be as scrappy as they've been described. The Infernals are also basically the Burning Legion: they're a group of violent demons going from world to world, consuming each planet's lifeforce and assimilating each powerful foe they come across.

Basically, I wish the lore was a little more creative than it currently appears to be.
What do you mean Immortals can't shoot up?

There were a bunch of games that tried to duplicate SC2 and they all were kinda "clunky" and more like WC3 microwise or even worse. Hope they will make unit micormanagement and combat more fluid like SC2.
The art style looks more like a WC3 though.

Cannot agree with that. Yes W3 is slower and the units have a higher HP pool and it features less units which makes micro MORE important, I disagree that its neccessary better though. Starcraft has less meaningful micro overall but there are combos that benefit greatly from being able to control them. Its just nothing you would build around.

Micro is a bigger part in games with little to no units and modern sc2 just moves past that stage pretty quickly. I still dislike the Wc3 micro

That's fine we're gonna disagree^^ Playing SC2 I thought elements of micro were mostly present in the very early stage of games with less than 10 units, then large fluid masses felt a lot like death balls where I'd want to simply quickly chain cast the main spells into the other army. Early on in SC2 some renowned player even stated things like "there is no micro in SC2" but won't name lul. For me a huge part of that comes from the mechanics of unit movement and attack particularly, tendency to stack, huge damage, or effects like zealot charge or concussive shells of marauders etc.

Agree on all that. Really excited for it still, but goodness those humans sound boring right now.
I root for Euro Zergs, NA Protoss* and Korean Terrans. (Any North American who has beat a Korean Pro as Protoss counts as NA Toss)
