Nah i'll wait for a better skin on characters i use alot. Besides the skin is permanent on the market anyways so i could just buy it later if i fancy it
Anyway back to the topic at hand: Do you guys use sites that help to optimise your artefacts on your toons? I got a video recommended to me on YT showing that in input all your +20 artefacts into the site and it maths out which ones would be best to put on a certain toon to max out DPS and other things? Seems like a lot of work TBH...
First I hear of this Will check it out. I don't have that many +20 artifacts anyway ^^
Hard to clear spiral abyss without maxing artifacts even tho you can still clear spiral abyss even with starter characters (first time i cleared spiral abyss i cleared it with starter characters + fischl) but you need those artifacts
So yeah for me 20+ artifacts on my dps units with the most optimal ones for each slot if you could
I've used it before. It's a neat tool, but inputting all your artifacts is a pain. Being able to upload screenshots for image recognition is nice in theory, but it's not perfect, and the inability to efficiently batch upload ultimately killed it for me.
The tool is also somewhat limited in what it can do. You're basically optimizing for one specific stat for one specific character. This is fine, but it ignores things like how shifting artifacts around may affect your overall team comp. It also means that you need to have some idea of what you're going to run in the first place, and what you're specifically looking to achieve.
And let's be real, artifact optimization is probably not what's holding your abyss runs back. In general, you can already tell what's a good roll and what isn't, and a minor dps increase isn't going to improve your performance more than, say, figuring out the proper rotation for the national comp.
I just use a calculator if I ever need to work out DPS between different artifacts. The DPS formula isn't hard to understand in itself, just that it cannot be worked out from the description in game. You are limited to the set you are farming for that character and that's usually a simple choice. Since your choice of artifacts is limited, it's usually simple to find out what is the best artifact. Unless you are doing something crazy like a do everything Zhongli, but I doubt a site will be able to calculate the dps for that. Choosing the best artifacts for an entire team when the characters may want the same set and stats is harder though and it seems the site cannot help you with that, so what's the point?
If you are trying to puzzle some team or artifacts, post it here and see if we can help you.
Abyss 12-3 definitely became easier with the 1.6 changes since the reactions with electro are much higher now. Benett is a beast in destroying electro shields.
I just checked, I have 246 achievements. Spazer seems like a completionist compared to that ^^

It's like the one thing I take seriously in this game.
Swirl is beyond busted in current abyss. A random Sucrose team can basically spam their way through one side of floors 9-11 no problem. 12 requires more thought, but not that much more.
Shields shouldn't be affected by the 1.6 changes to reactions and Elemental Mastery. Abyss mage shields aren't affected by damage amount or EM at all.
I have 284 achievements. But I have quite a few left that can be done if I tried like master 40 recipes. There's quite a few "secret" acheivements that come out with each version as well. Might want to check those out if you want to compelte more achievements.
Abyss mages shields are affected by damage. The linked part of this vid shows Hu Tao ult when dealing small and large amounts of damage. The difference in shield removed is pretty clear.
So I went and binged almost 100% of the Apple Archipelago content in one go, here are my impressions: 1) The early fog was ass, glad it got cleared up super quick. 2) The samurai puppet is pretty cool, much more fun than the Prime Geovishap and Azdaha. 3) The shops are pretty easy to buy out, thankfully. It's raining primos down there. 4) The boat is extremely disappointing. It's TINY like a remote control ship for a child to send down the river, can't possibly fit 4-5 people inside... It controls like absolute ASS. Thankfully the boat challenges are pretty easy to get the gold medal. 5) Overall between the colorful rings that you throw the ball into, the squash mini-game against the wall and the conch/chest collecting... I was entertained.
I just have the tougher Samurai challenges to do (no ranged, dodge all his attacks) and the Klee bomb throwing one to finish farming and I'll be able to say goodbye to the islands (unless the samurai is worth farming everyday?)
Samurai's like the other 40resin bosses, I'm sure Kazuha and others will use its mat but they say obtaining the mat will return in some form in Inazuma (unsurprisingly) so unless you're intending to roll for Kazuha and want to secure the mats now, you shouldn't need to farm it.

I don't think thats true. Benett rips through those shields now in Abyss 12-3 and I didn't change anything in my setup.
The Klee bombs are crazy. 300k AoE fire damage. Those challenges do themself

The samurai core as well as the sea flower are needed for Kazuha ascension
I stand corrected, damage does affect Abyss shields. Mihoyo must have stealth added that effect recently.
I remember testing out pure physical damage a few months ago and it did nothing vs abyss mage shields and now I just tested it in the overworld and it took about 200k phys damage to destroy the shield. I also remember someone doing a test with Bennett against an Abyss Lector and it took 18 E attacks no matter whether the Bennett had a lvl 1 weapon and no artifacts or with a lvl 90 weapon and artifacts.
I can't really say in Bennett's case since I didn't use Bennett last abyss. What EM and lvl is your Bennet? I doubt you are doing enough additional reaction damage to affect the number of Bennett attacks. For instance I think my lvl 80 Xiangling with 231 EM went from 3000 to 5000 overloaded damage which is basically nothing compared to the 1million+ shield Abyss Lectors must have. If doing an extra 36k damage was significant to Abyss Lector shields then my Eulas accidental lighfall swords would blow a significant chunk away.
I'm guessing you either gotten better at applying elements to destroy shields or abyss moon buff did something strange or Abyss card made your Bennett more effective. There's an abyss card which -20% elemental skill which when combined with Thundering Fury greatly reduces its cooldown from 1s to 0.6s (somehow) which you may have selected this abyss attempt.

Well, that kind of confirms Inazuma in 1.7 otherwise you can't farm mats for Kazuha. Unless 1.7 introduces another island to be deleted afterwards. Makes you wonder if and when they will introduce Yaoyao or Yunjin who both are featured in character voicelines.
Btw, has anybody else had Chinese characters show up momentarily when loading the map and suchlike?
There should be another event starting up in 3 days (the battle one) and a new bit of MSQ. Not sure how many events or if the intent is for this new battle one to be another 'big' event that spans ~2 weeks for a ~1 week lull between 1.6 and 1.7/2.0 (whatever naming scheme they opt for).
When it comes to new characters I always first go to YT and watch some impressions done AFTER calculations are out and they have the new toon leveled up reasonably. Like 80/80 level, some 4star weapon, no constellations, 6/6/6 or 8/8/8 talents... to me it's unrealistic to get any 5star constellations, i am not willing to spend that much money.
And only then do I roll on the very last day of the banner, after I gather as much information about the toon as possible.
