In action it's pretty shit, but I use it because it looks good. It also helps me learn to scope Headshots from close range as it doesn't allow no-scoping. Full Charge: 15% more damage per shot. -Basically you can do ~175-190 damage with a full charge bodyshot, which helps kill up to 175 hp classes, unlike before. It requires full charge and that's why it's not worth it. You are a sitting duck in most cases when you wait for the charge to get full and in comp TF2, Full Charge is only used to kill Heavies, who will die even without the 15% damage boost. Full Charge: Penetrates through Players. -The only thing this would be useful for is to kill Engineers behind their Sentries and that is not possible. If it wouldn't require Full Charge, it would be good but with how it is, it's not. You cannot no-scope with this weapon and that's a pretty big downside as no-scoping does a good 50 damage per shot. This weapon requires SMG as a Secondary, which I don't mind. You fire Tracer shots, which gives your position away every time you fire. I use it because it looks cool, sounds cool and forces me to use the scope on close and mid ranges. It's a side-grade weapon for lower skill levels. Anyway: Cannot wait for the game to be playable! Hopefully I can get my Stealth skills in action, if I have any. hopefully...played some TF2 today and apparently when you get a penetration shot on full charge with the Machina, and you kill 2 dudes with 1 shot, there's a special icon and soundclip that plays across the whole server. Sounds really cool.
Pretty sure I did that yesterday and didn't see anything special.

The post from destructoid is not live... yet.

Jim Sterling reviewing? get your body ready for a 5/10. Can't even take that shit serious. :| the guy gave a 9.5 to CoD:MW2 and 6 to The Witcher 2 / Bastion.
|
Well Jim apparently likes this game
+ Show Spoiler +He gave DX:HR a 9.5 So far nothing below 8/80 and a lot of 9/90's Looking good!
|
.... 8/80 and 9/90 would not be good scores. Just saying.
|
not 8 out of 80 i mean 8/10 or 80/100 like wise for the 9's
Some how I think the diehard fans are going to rate it lower than those that have been brought up with COD.

Unless this was a troll... Then you got my attention. Congrats.

Some how I think the diehard fans are going to rate it lower than those that have been brought up with COD. Wouldn't it be the opposite? Fans of the original might appreciate the game for what it is (a good DX game as far as I'm concerned), while CoD fans will probably not get their action fix out of HR. Those are my impressions from playing some of the leak in any case.

So far iv done it twice and both times a noise played for everyone. I don't think you even need a headshot to make it work.

Well the way i see it is that, crazy fans of the first game like me would nickpick it to death. While the ones that are used to just mindless shooting would have a breath of fresh air.
What i see happening in the point of view of the diehard fan is the tendency to compare DX:HR with Deus Ex. In which Deus Ex still trumps DX:HR in various compartments such as music, level design, interactivity etc...
I actually see myself rating to how gamespy had rated the game:
http://pc.gamespy.com/pc/deus-ex-3-unofficial-title/1189589p2.html
Kinda like how BW fans reacted to SC2 when it came out.

We have to wait 3 extra days over here Seriously!? whos facking idea was that! Steam should have a universal time or something, everyone should get the game at the exact same time, but its ok, cuz i dont have the money to order it just yet lol so i will be playing around the same time as you probably haha, GL to both of us! steam doesn't pick the dates dude... all on the developers.
more like all on the publishers...

12.7% preloaded from steam, and then, only a couple more days

I was pretty sure this was coming out on the 20th when I checked it online last month. Imagine my disappointment Saturday morning Luckily my course exam got shifted from Tuesday to Thursday, so I can play it on release day! Woohoo!
Really hope they keep the story coherent and make it well, GOOD! Invisible War was such a horrific disappointment after the greatness of the first one, so I've got high expectations of this one.

30-35 hours for a single-player FPS RPG game? Good fucking god, they've made a monster. I don't think the original took even half that long to complete.

Depends how you play it, I suppose. I'm sure you can breeze through it in much less time, or get even more out of it if you're trying to find everything. Took me 20+ hours or something to complete the original, I think.

I don't think it's good to have unrealistic expectations though. If you consider DX to be one of the best games you've ever played or something, it's probably better to not expect the game to surpass or even reach that status. I understand where you're coming from though. I guess I'll steed clear of this thread from now on though, since I think the NA release is pretty soon? EU release is a few days later.

I am so mad.
There was an article released by the creators that they cut out so much content, that the game could have been 100+ hours long easily, but they had to cut it for time restrictions or some shit.
And a lot of people are saying it's over in as little as 20 hours who are playing the pirated version on xbox
Please be amazing still.

I wish they would release an ultimate or a director's cut version or something. I want all that content. No doubt they're going to start selling them off as DLCs.... sigh........
