Datamining may ruin all the fun of reveals, but I can’t ignore the stories it produces all the same. According to a Resert Era thread, the graphic below paired with the art above was extracted from either the website or PC files from the game itself, I’m still trying to decipher which. But the image has been mined in a number of different languages, and though this could be a fake (I’ve been known to photoshop a bit of Destiny fake news in my time), this would be awfully elaborate. It also lines up with an imminent announcement for Bungie’s plans for Destiny 2, which was supposed to happen this Thursday, though at least the bare bones details might be leaked at this point thanks to this. If you can’t read what the text says, here it is: “The next chapter in the Destiny experience arrives this fall as terrifying shadows descend upon a forgotton moon. Return to the lunar surface. Journey deep into a mysterious enemy citadel. Become a slayer of nightmares.” The “forgotten moon” in question here is clearly earth’s moon, given the art, and the fact that we are “returning” to it. There have been some rumblings about returning to the moon in the past few months, but this would seem to confirm that. This would-be announcement is a bit of a surprise because many assumed that now free of Activision’s rigid release schedule, we wouldn’t see a fall Destiny expansion from Bungie. And if this is part of some Year 3 annual pass, it doesn’t say that in this art. So this may be a true blue expansion in the vein of Taken King, Rise of Iron or Forsaken, though it’s hard to glean what size it could be based on this alone. The shadows descending on the moon could be the triangle enemies that have been teased for ages now, or it could be something else. Calus has spoken about unleashing the Shadows of Earth in Season of Opulence, so whatever is about to happen when that content launches an hour from now seems like it will tie directly into this. Needless to say this is exciting, if true, as Destiny players may have beefier content to play sooner than they thought. Looking for further confirmation/info about this. Stay tuned. I unearthed some cool stuff with the Black Armory and the Obsidian Accelerator. It continues the story of Ada-1. Its pretty good. I'm a happy Annual Pass owner. If they continue with this current format I'm in.

All Destiny2 content is being bundled together and available for $40 USD. This means D2 base game, Curse of Osiris, Warmind, Forsaken, Annual Pass are all in one package for $40. Shadowkeep is separate from all this content and is $35 USD. Bungie is calling Destiny an "Action MMO". So I guess this is different from the "Shared World Shooter" it was called in 2014. https://www.bungie.net/en/News/Article/47882 Here is the full Bungie reveal. It begins at 15 minutes and 5 seconds.

I still want way more social features, but they're definetely doing a lot for like, progression and customizing builds and stuff. Really awesome they're making it easy for people to jump in and play. I've had to like do the red war campaign so many freaking times, im sick of it.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1085660/Destiny_2/ We have two spending options. "Destiny 2: Shadowkeep" and "Destiny 2: Shadowkeep Digital Deluxe Edition". Henceforth these editions of the game will be known as "Standard $35 Edition" and "Deluxe $60 Edition". Let's first examine the lower price option of $35. When you pre-order the Standard $35 Edition you also receive two expansions from year one of Destiny2. You receive the "Curse of Osiris" and "Warmind" expansions. Therefore you will be able to play ALL of the content that was released during Destiny2's first year of existence. You can play teh base game that released in September 2017, the expansion that released in December of 2017 entitled "Curse of Osiris" AND the expansion that released in May 2018 entitled "Warmind". Let's now examine the higher priced option.. the Deluxe $60 Edition. In this edition you get everything released during year one and year two of Destiny2. You also get the "ShadowKeep" expansion. What do Steam members get for free? They get all Destiny2 content that Bungie released from September 2017 up to the first expansion pack that came out in December 2017. So they'll get a main campaign from Destiny 2 and all the post campaign storylines that were made available from September 2017 to December 2017. They'll get the Strikes and the Raid that was released during the September to December 2017 time period.

none of the year 2 content (forsaken + its annual pass) is available for purchase on steam at the moment the $35 edition on steam is shadowkeep only (plus of course the y1 stuff that is free for everyone) the $60 edition on steam is shadowkeep + what is functionally a "shadowkeep annual pass" + some cosmetic goodies (plus of course the y1 stuff that is free for everyone)

I thought the 4 seasons passes were ShadowKeep plus the Black Armory, Season of the Drifter and Season of Opulence. I guess time will tell. I like the Destiny 2 campaign content. I think it gets a bit of a bad rap by a loud minority of hardcore players. However, I do not know if I want to re-run through the content many, many times.

Most of my attempts at beating it have been in severe lack of sleep scenarios so maybe my ability to appreciate it has been hampered, but I feel like there are too many ways to just instantly wipe in the final boss encounter. Other than that I agree, the mechanic is fun and promotes teamwork and communication, and the overall aesthetic is strong and unique.

Hey everyone, Like we did a few weeks ago on the Livestream, we’re going to continue to talk about how Destiny will continue to evolve this Fall and beyond. This update is about how we’re changing Eververse. We’ve already made a number of changes to Eververse in Season of Opulence (we’ve redesigned the store, we’ve made Bright Engrams only include Year 1 gear—and have it bias heavily toward giving you items you haven’t unlocked in your Collections), and we’re going to make more changes to the economy, store, and armor in this fall’s patch. Armor It stinks to go to the Eververse store and see an item that looks cool and then seeing that the item has bad perks on it. In fact, when we’re setting up the armor, we’d twist ourselves up in knots to make sure the Eververse armor sets didn’t have good perks. We did this because we want the best way to get sweet perks on your armor to be by playing the game, not shopping for enhanced Hand Cannon loaders at Tess. The root cause (dating all the way back to Destiny 1) is that Eververse armor has always had perks/gameplay capability as a part of the package. We’re done with that. As of this September, all Eververse armor is being converted into Universal Ornaments. These Universal Ornaments can be applied to all of the Legendary armor sets we’re releasing this Fall. They override the look of your equipped gear while preserving the perks, mods, and stats of the original item. Any Eververse Armor you have acquired in your Collections will have its Universal Ornaments automatically unlocked for use on new Legendary armor. For example, if the song in your heart is to have your Titan roll with the 2018 Tin Man-esque Festival of the Lost Helmet, you can put it on any of the new Legendary armor coming to the game this fall. Work in progress build. Evolving Bright Dust Historically, the best way to earn Bright Dust in Destiny 2 has been to buy a bunch of Bright Engrams, shard everything from the engrams, build a giant bankroll of Bright Dust and then spend it when the Warlock Dire Ahamkara helmet shows up the Bright Dust row in the last week of the season. We’re going to change this. This Fall we’re changing Bright Dust from a pay- and/or play-to-earn currency to a play-to-earn reward. We’re adding Bright Dust as a reward for completing Vanguard, Crucible, and Gambit bounties. We want all players to earn Dust for playing, not for spending money and destroying a bunch of items in their inventory. After you complete all your bounties for the week, there will be an additional avenue to keep grinding out Bright Dust. It’s also been pretty uncool to go to the Collection screen and spend Bright Dust to get shaders or Ghost Shells or whatever. We’re going to fix that too. Beginning September 17, Eververse items in your Collections will cost Glimmer and Legendary Shards. If you want to keep pulling out that Exotic Sparrow that looks like a motorcycle until you get the good Sparrow perk (Instant Summon), you can do that with Legendary Shards and Glimmer. Changes to Dismantling Eververse Items Lastly, because we are changing the cost of pulling things out of the Collections, Eververse items will no longer dismantle into Bright Dust. This Fall, Eververse items will dismantle into Legendary Shards and Glimmer. However, that means right now the absolute best thing you can do with all the Eververse items you don’t use regularly—armor, Sparrows, shaders, Ghost Shells, transmat effects—is dismantle them. Sitting on a pile of Midnight Talons or Metro Shift from your Year 1 stockpiles? Shard ’em for Dust. That’s right! Everything must go—dismantle the extra stuff you have in your inventory, build up a huge amount of Bright Dust, and spend it on sweet stuff as it rolls through the Eververse store—because on September 17, everything changes. TL;DR recap for Twitter: On September 17, 2019:
Before September 17, 2019: Dismantle all of your unused Eververse items to maximize your Bright Dust reserves Thanks and see you soon, Luke Smith Source
