And if you didn't save your turn in engrams until after you're decked out 665 from public events and such, you're gonna get stuck gearwise in the sub 680 gear for possibly weeks, because after 665 the only things that give you upgrades are milestone rewards and exotic engrams and, if you saved them, the final quest rewards from tower.
Ofc, unless you read that on the internet, you probably have no idea like me about and just cashed in those things afte the campaign was done. So now I'm sitting here with 668 gear and the only thing for me left to grind that can upgrade me is nightfalls. Feelsbad. Also, bad design IMO. But I guess that's a given in a game that lacks even basic text chat functions for a PC "mmo". Shame, game runs and plays well and is beautiful as heck, just lack of content and dumb console UI decisions ruining it.
Oh well poop then
I turned those in because I didn't know I just flashy UI icons and did it XD
In the end whats the real difference from 665 to 680? I mean is it REALLY worth grinding non stop for it? I just enjoy the shooty shooty pve stuff tbh and as mindless time waster I am enjoying this game.
I'll just be sure to remember that for when I make my non-warlock characters

Well the prestige nightfalls and the raid kinda require you to have enough gear to survive, other than that, no more reason than any gear grind game I guess. It's just annoying there's an artificial gap there that you won't know about until you do research after going "hang on where's my gear upgrades in the last half day".

Friend of mine bought Destiny 1 - "The Collection" for $40. Says its great with plenty of content. Lack of content is the #1 complaint about Destiny 2. For people on the fence about the game why not just wait 3 years?
|
The point is, players shouldn't have to wait 3 years for a game to complete its content development... They are selling a game with less than 20 hours of campaign and no multiplayer interaction as a complete game for $60, when you can find open beta titles with much more refined endgame. It feels like pre-paying for content that may or may not come in the future, especially for people who bought the collector/deluxe edition.

However, the track record from Destiny 1 is clear; content levels are low relative to stuff like Borderlands. its not like this is a big secret.
i have a policy of waiting at least 2 years until after a game's release before buying. The only exception to that is Blizzard games. its a policy that has served me well over the years.
i'll probably wait.. buy the game in 3 years.. be totally happy with it. Save ~$100 and prevent 10 angry TL posts.

its nothing personal man.. Bungie/ATVI is just trying to maximize revenue. Eventually, they'll get some money out of me as well.

I think im on unpopular opinion here, but destiny 2 lack of social features or where the endgame is in everyone's opinions wrong does not feel like same issue I have with the game.
Just saw the "Raid" content on youtube to see tactics for my clan because PC release. And I just can't go in there, it just a family puzzle game with some random adds there and there. It does not feel like raid in common sence, it feels like family games combined with some random adds that hurt so you have to have gear for it. I like strikes and nightfall strikes. I like pvp (even with aimhacks in pc to screw up some), but I cant find myself liking the raids. Sadly I think thats far as I can go with the destiny 2 unless they change their design philosophy to fit more rpg boss style.
And I raided destiny 1 till taken king, where I got the Mario puzzle feeling and decided to stop playing...

I've been enjoying it so far. Super fun mindless pew pew game.

I mean ultimately I think there's a variety of opinions based on what people expect in the title, like if someone just wants a cool campaign that lasts them 10 hours or if someone is expecting a game with an end-game to last them 1000 hours, they're going to have vastly differing opinions.
I love the graphics, world, and the gunplay is just super super fun, so I'm still having a blast.

I have a lot of fun in the crucible PvP.

Is there a third subclass? I have only dawnblade and voidwalker.
