especially blizz, look at how much they fucked over bw and more recently sc2. Yeah. I believe how Valve handles the Dota scene is much better. They organize the main events of the year (The International and Majors), but otherwise lets community do it's thing.

Yeah, I am not looking for fighting against Sombra when I return to the game (HS and strategy games take up all my time right now)

Sick looking Genji skin behind HotS playwall. :-)

I would say she will be at the normal 200 hp. She sounds fun, prepping the battlefield to beat your opponent.

I agree wholeheartedly... biggest example of devs interference (or complete control over) an esports scene is Riot... and the cult of Riot is not an enviable thing. Underpaid talent, broadcasting rights not being valued properly preventing growth of the scene.
Going to make a loose equivalency but if the ARG is not an indication of Blizzard's inability to manage shit, I don't know what is. I wish they'd stick to making games and maybe give some money. Let the pros manage teams and tournaments and broadcast talent.

Watching some Sombra gameplay and it looks like she's going to super hard counter Tracer to the point where I don't see how Tracer will be able to ever survive that... The "hack" ability is a 0 skill thing where if you right click in the general direction of your target you'll disable their abilities. Tracer without her abilities is super fucking dead 90% of the time.

Yeah, that base dmg of the main weapon isn't powerful at all..
Fuck me

Fuck me I saw her kill a Zen in what seemed to be half a clip... plus she has 2 escapes, one of which is super low cooldown (like 6 seconds??? holy shit).
I'm terrified... This may make my favorite character completely unplayable. Like being hacked is almost as much a death sentence as getting shot in the head by Widowmaker... I'll have to see how it plays out but I expect a lot of frustration :/
Edit: Looks like it may be manageable actually. The hacking "channeling" seems to take a not insignificant amount of time.

uhu Tracer the character that can self cure, is countered by a channel ability. I'll stick to the Icicle one shot.
|
Stealth has ~7 second cooldown. Teleport locator has 7 second CD. Holy fuck. Someone on Reddit pretty much summed Sombra perfectly.
I get the feeling Sombra will give Mei a run for her money as the most despised hero

Yeah I thought the channel was much faster and unavoidable. So I thought I'd just get left clicked and then I'd be a sitting duck. But now I'm seeing I just need to not be in the fairly short "hacking" range and I can probably dash out of range easily unless I mismanage my stuff.
But yeah at first I was thinking hack was instant or guaranteed once it started. If it had been that it would have been more annoying than Mei's popsicles to the head. Mei has to aim so whenever I get 1shot by her I can appreciate the marksmanship.
Edit: Ugh, does seem like the channel range is a bit long and it tracks through walls... spooky af... It may still be hard to avoid.

It will be tough for Mei, as she will have to use Ice Wall or Iceblock early. But yah if ptr goes through I will be playing D.Va. Finally you can bump people and then shoot them down. Sombra will be pretty awesome at hunting supports though. Even Lucio might be in trouble, who usually can outplay any solo flanker easily.

She looks like she'll be a lot of fun to play with a high skill ceiling but she'll make other people's life hell... That magazine just never ends -_- holy shit
|
Looks like she'll play like Tracer a lot, built for in-and-out and harass. Just with a tank breaking ult.

Very surprised that she seem to have longer range, similar fire rate and same if not better damage as Tracer's guns and 60/60 magazine..

Nawh I'm too dumb to manage all this shit. I'll try tho. My semi decent ability to track my target will come in handy.

Sombra can't poke like Tracer though. She either finishes the job or nothing.

On November 05 2016 04:46 FeyFey wrote: Sombra can't poke like Tracer though. She either finishes the job or nothing. She's differently able! She can poke in a more organized way if her portal thing allows her to do damage after her escape. And if she's still compromised she can go invis and at the end of that she can teleport again.
So you could: run in, poke, teleport, poke, invis, throw portal, poke, teleport. Seems like she'd be really hard to kill when played well.

Don't get me wrong, ult ruining tanks and stopping abilities is huge. But when you're taking up a DPS slot with low DPS, that feels like it'll be a problem.
But maybe being a near-instant Tank breaker will mess with the double/triple tank meta a bit, so who knows.
