Dragon Quest 11 will be on PC in the west but not the 3DS. Switch version is not making it this year. | ||

There are (a lot + Show Spoiler +800+ total in the game The only bad thing i can think of is the repeated nature of boss fights. You fight some of the bosses 2-3 times during the game with little to no difference in their mechanics. I don't understand why they decided to do this while every single level has so much difference in so many aspects. | ||

The joycons are surprisingly small and lightweight, but very confortable. With the joycon grip I don't miss a traditional controler. Will probably buy another set of joycons instead of a pro controller. However today I went to play some and instead of starting there was an "orage screen of death". Searched it and there's basically no info? There are people with that problem but no answer. There's a guy that fixed it pressing the turn off button for like 5 seconds until it turned on, and then restarted, which is what I did and worked fine. However that guy said the problem came back so he had to send the switch to repair and lost all his data so...we'll see. Talking about turning it on and off, why is it so hard to actually turn the thing off? When I finish playing I need to get up, go to the switch, get on my knees so I can reach the dock, press the turn off button for 5 seconds, then select "turn off options" and then turn off. Why? Why can't you turn off the thing using the quick menu from the home button? Or the turn off buttn from the menu screen? Unless I'm not aware of an easier way, it seems very clumsy. As if nintendo never actually wanted you to turn off the thing, instead leaving it in sleep mode. However in sleep mode it must still be turned on, somewhat right? That means more wear and tear that is unnecessary. Appart from that I've been playing Splatoon. Surprisingly fun, Surprisingly difficult, Surprisingly Hardcre I would say. Like the gameplay isn't that hard per se but the different variety of weapons and sub weapons, the different maps that change each day (aparently?) and the super quick matches means it isn't a game to relax. You can't stay calm for a second because a guy from half a screen away kills you with his rocket launcher and then there are 30 seconds left so you have to spray paint like a mad man. It's hectic, there's no time to breath. Pure action. Pretty fun. I can see why this IP got so popular. Another thing...is there a way to get the TV girls to shut up? Every time I start the game they talk for like 5 minutes and you can't make them talk faster (like you can with the vendors). | ||

Still more or less have the same opinion of it I had before--second-favorite game in the series, though EO2U is a very close 3rd. Looking forward to EOX. | ||

That's the number 1 complaint literally every Splatoon player has about the game and Nintendo just refuses to address it. Inexplicable :D. If you just make your Switch sleep while in the game, you don't have to watch the intro every time the map rotation changes (when you wake your Switch up there will just be a popup text to inform you). It changes every 2 hours btw. | ||

Celeste is just fantastic and would be great on any platform, it's amazing how much room the game has taken the Super Meat Boy formula and find so much room to do its own thing. The Darkest Dungeon is a real joy on the switch, it's a great game to play sparingly and sort of savor between play sessions. Sure it's a game fueled by a big grind, but it's fun to run a few dungeons, then put it down and sort of savor and think about the possibilities with the class and skill combinations. I think I would bounce off the game hard on the PC where it'd be an investment to start up the game and run through a dungeon, but with the switch it's quite enjoyable. | ||
