It is obviously overhyped, but it's also obviously a very polished game.

What quests there are... that's something I've kept myself blissfully unaware of.

No, im sure its a great game I just made it very clear that I am biased against this genre. For this style of game I much prefer what Odyssey will be, in the same vein as mario 64, DK64, banjo kazooie, etc. Zelda games just usually bore me since the progression feels slow and meaningless, with the world generally not changing that much. Some people will prefer that consistent overworld.

according to Game Rankings (which uses decimals), Zelda BotW is the best reviewed game of all time Just like it's first 3D predecessor "Ocarina of time" back in '98. It sold 2 million in the first month/ more than 7.5 million in total Which made it the best selling game of the decade afaik, but I could be wrong. (not counting Majora's Mask, because it's a full game and not an expansion, even though there might be some who disagree) I still think OoT is the best Zelda ever made, but I also hope BotW will change my mind.

Anyway, only fools trust reviewers these days. A big grain of salt is needed when you read reviews, for example, For Honor, Like no one mentioned that at higher levels of play->defence->attack. Witcher 3: The combat is fucking terrible, yet it gets 10/10 LOL

Then is between Link's Awakening and Ocarina of time. But BotW seems like it could take that n1 spot

Some people will prefer that consistent overworld. Well good news! The overworld is probably what improved the most with this title. Nintendo teamed up with Monolith this time, the creators of the Xenoblade series. I don't know if you've played Xenoblade Chronicles X, but that game has the best overworld I've ever had the joy of exploring, so I'm pretty hyped. It's also been reported that you can change the world this time around, and "the effects of your changes can be seen from halfway across the map" I picked that quote up on a forum somewhere, so not confirmed.

Most of these reviewers have played it for 50 hours too.

And no, just because it gets good score nowadays doesnt mean its a great game. i dont know what the fuck the reviewers look at really, if its open world with good graphic and piss poor gameplay it gets super high score. WTF IS THIS. ALot of reviewers cant even get a grasp of what its like "when you learn how to play that game". Bunch of noobs are what they are(at their job), and dont know what gameplay should be like.

especially when said person havent even played the game I believed the hype of Last of Us, untill i played i thought it had a meh story, meh gameplay and the whole "feelings" for that little girl who i dont even remember her name was so overhyped, might have been good for gaming standard, but every other art is years ahead in the "feelings" department
