Simple evidence of this is that you can inject these electric contact cleaners very easily, whereas you couldn't do that with a regular controller.
The more you move your sticks around (especially in a single consistent direction), and the "dirtier" your environment, the faster you'll get this drift.
Sure, and I hope that Nintendo addresses this issue by sealing the sticks better (or whatever the established solution ends up being); it would be really disappointing if the Switch Lite flopped because too many of the built-in controllers just stopped functioning.

That's definitely a good response. I hope they'll also proactively work to prevent these things from happening in the future, rather than just reacting.

Apparently this is US only so far...

Just got Fire Emblem: Three Houses, which I'm super psyched to play asap, although I'm forcing myself to finish the Switch's FF7 before starting up FE. No idea which of the three factions I want to join though, and apparently the three factions have three (arguably four) significantly different routes and experiences, even though the storylines overlap.

Also thanks for the reminder that FF7 is on Switch. I usually play through that game every 1-2 years, so I might as well do it on the Switch this time lol.

Yeah, it's $16... such a no-brainer! https://www.nintendo.com/games/detail/final-fantasy-vii-switch/

There are indeed 4 routes. Edelgard unlocks the fourth route halfway through her own Edelgard is the conquer and dissension route. Take out the church, take over the continent. Dmitri from my understanding is defend the church. Claude is the take out evil masterminds route I think? It's far more seperated from the other routes whereas red and blue are quite interwoven story detail wise
I'm doing yellow first. I have heard in terms of map complexity and difficulty yellow > blue > red I don't know where the fourth path goes in that order.
I will say there is a lot in this game. 10 hours in and based on what nintendo said I'm a fourth of the way through... 40 hours per route!
Currently playing hard classic, which is hardest difficulty currently available. It's a decent challenge, nothing insane. Avatar is super strong. Corrin and Sigurd stronger. Maybe Echoes Alm level good? Lots and lots of lore and world building and the monastery/open world can take an extremely long time if u want it to.

I am ~16 hours in now and its really good. I also went with Golden Deer.
Byleth (the avatar) is strong, but oddly doesn't make rest of your team look worthless. I have multiple other characters as good as the avatar in my playthrough (and a few that are average but still usable).
I will probably post a bit more of updates in FE thread once its a few days out from release to prevent any major spoilers :D.

uh... total price with DLC is 84 bucks.
can i just buy the regular 60 dollar game and not worry about missing (important) content?

Played about 3 hours tonight. Chose red for my first route since Petra is a cutie
I’m enjoying everything so far. Not quite sure who’s the best in red yet, but I definitely got carried by edelgard in the first real mission.

Bit of a confusing start for me, the monastery is a complete unknown factor and idk what to do most of the time lol. Some questions I'll throw on here, feel free to answer without spoilers.
- In the first mission I could field 5 units, in the subsequent missions I could field all 9. Should I level all 9 or prioritise ~5 and feed the xp to those? I'm assuming more powerful characters will join throughout the story so choosing 5 initial dudes and then taking in the more powerful joiners is a good way to go?
- I have a Sunday where I can choose between explore/battle/rest/teach and I don't have a goddamn clue what to prioritise lol. So far only my avatar has been able to take a class certification exam (and of course I chose Myrmidon cause Myrmidons are the best), I think it's a good idea to get the others to take some class exams too? So choose teach?
- My healer is entirely useless atm. Can only heal-assist 5 times per map and only heals 10 hp. How do I improve this? Teach and advance class to a healer class?
Thanks

Is 3 Houses as "Waifu Emblem" as some of the other recent new releases were? I've been checked out on the series since after Awakening.

All my advice is in a normal context using the Yellow Deer (I should have started Hard, I think, unless there's a huge difficulty spike coming) about ~5 months in so take that with a grain of salt:
1) You use those 9 units (more if you recruit others) often enough and there are enough pincers that it's probably worth leveling them. Almost all missions except the first I've encountered have allowed 9, if not 10, units + your hero.
2) Class certification is mostly blocked by leveling at least until you get to the advanced classes-if you really want to promote, you'll need to push people to level 5 to promote them to beginner classes and 10 to promote to intermediates, and you only get "real" XP in the "Battle" option. That said, I picked "Explore" most days until the quest battles popped up, in part because the game was so easy and I loved shoving food down people's throats to build supports and replenish motivation for teaching. Made my teacher level skyrocket to make it even more effective.
3) The "faith" stat gives you more heal uses I believe. After ~1 month of focusing Faith my healer (Marianne, who has the most depressing C supports I have seen) could heal 10 times next to her and 5 times 3-4 squares away.
Also, Hilda turning into an offensive and defensive monster knight while constantly saying she wants to sit out battles and getting others to do all her work is hilarious to me for some reason.

Unfortunately, old school fire emblem did not sell. Awakening saved Fire Emblem as a series

There is no Tharja or Camilla in the game. The worst it gets is dorethea who is not too bad post timeskip S supports and marriage exists but each student only has like 3 or 4 options to marry.
One person on my team can marry 4 people. the avatar, and three guys I can recruit from other houses. So shipping is not nearly as much a focus/prioritized. Nor is it rewarded as there are no children. Pair up/aoe support buffs exist but that's more akin to classic fe than waifu emblem

Game's been out 2 days, easy on the spoilers, lol.

Not a super ringing endorsement, since Echoes Alm isn't actually that good.

Man yall should use the actual FE thread, I'd have missed all these positive initial reactions if I didn't randomly notice Yango's name pop up in the last replied here D:
Sounds good so far though which is promising. Hopefully I can get around to it sooner than I planned.

Idk exactly where to place byleth on the tier list. He doesnt have pair up or start with a horse but he's really really damn good
