At the beginning your units haven't grown into their speed yet, and at the end some of the higher speed tier enemies are going to be hard for some of your units to double. For most of the game, the vast majority of combat arts are useless. Basically the same as they were in SoV. Havent run into a tiger flurry or double lion in 3h tho

I have to say, after the initial luster of the fresh new systems has worn off, there seems to be a disappointing lack of depth. The best classes (i.e. Wyvern Lord) are so much better than the other classes that anyone with remotely cooperative proficiencies should just be forcing their way into them, and trying to follow people's proficiencies into other class lines is largely a trap. Warp/Dance/Stride cheese trivializes such a large portion of the game. A lot of these endemic issues feel like they're things that Lunatic isn't going to fix, because Lunatic isn't going to make these things weaker, it's just going to make everything else that's suboptimal weaker and make people want to do the broken things even more. 3DSFE, for all its flaws, had far more robust gameplay than this.

Chapters 15-21 are all trivial 1-turns, which leaves only 3 part 2 maps for possible turn saves at all, two of which are the first 2 post-timeskip maps, where super-Claude hasn't had time to grow yet. They're creepy af.

I actually like both of their characters a lot. Lorenz grows immensely, and sylvain is an extremly deep character.

I don't even want to do anything different because playing through the maps isn't made more interesting by just picking classes that are straight up worse than everything on a mount. The gameplay more or less ends once you're set to reach your master classes, and the rest is just perfunctory. The problem is that once you realize that proficiencies are essentially a trap, and it's fairly easy to unlock any class by the time the seals for them become available even if you aren't proficient in the required skills, every character starts to feel extremely samey from a gameplay perspective. Basically the only characters that stand out are casters because spell list differences actually do matter. For physically-slanted characters, character-specific abilities and combat arts aren't important enough to matter, and everyone should just be forcing the same 2-3 classes. For all the years that people whined about DS/3DSFE reclassing destroying unit uniqueness, 3H's reclassing actually does destroy unit uniqueness because the main thing that was supposed to differentiate units in this "everyone can be anything" system--skill proficiencies--fails to do so. Considering that people are figuring out OHKO setups for the final boss on GD that involve growing Mag boosters in the greenhouse literally every week for the entire game to cap her Mag, yes. Absolutely yes. Lysithea is simultaneously both the best warper to warp your boss-killer AND the best boss-killer to be warped. She's arguably the best unit on all 3 routes, even accounting the fact that she can't realistically be recruited before C4 on the other routes.

Weapon triangle probably needs to come back to something like 3ds style where you lost your weapon proficiency bonuses at disadvantage. Weapon skill rate gains need to be drastically cut so that going down a weak path makes your unit notably weaker over time. If they still want you to be able to change to any class, I think it would be preferable to have lower skill requirements, but penalize you much more for not having higher weapon skills. Mount/dismount needs a bigger penalty, or needs to be removed completely. Being able to mount/dismount and act in the same turn needs to go. Enemy threats need to be more varied. They need a greater mix of things that can hit and kill you so you can't just dodge tank or face tank large groups on enemy phase. I think bringing back something like crossbows that would straight up one shot your fliers might mitigate some of the flier dominance, but I don't think you can do much about the horses. Horses in general don't bother me too much though. I don't know if the warp skipping can really be fixed with the current design. They would have to give more incentives to play the maps out, which honestly isn't there with most of the maps you can just skip. I think it's a given that the enemies need to scale much harder, which might be enough to not make you want to miss out on a lot of extra exp.

I don't remember the distribution of Rout/Kill Boss maps in each route, but this is the biggest differentiator because Kill Boss maps are usually 1-turns and Routs usually aren't. With 3H's current difficulty and mechanics, this matters more than which characters each house has. On August 22 2019 23:28 chocorush wrote: I think some issues can be fixed if they are willing to make some adjustments to the game. Things I think that should be changed: - Warp and Stride are too powerful and available too early in the game. It's not really possible to change how much they break maps but it's very possible to change their availability. The E-rank Stride battalion should either be obtained later in the game or have a higher Authority requirement, and Stride's Mov bonus should be reduced to 3, if not lower. Linhardt and Manuela should have Warp at A+ or S Faith rather than A, and Lysithea should have it at least at A, if not just the same as the other 2 Warpers. Letting her have it exclusively at B while also being one of the most powerful combat units in the game is arguably the most mind-bogglingly stupid character balance choice IS has made since Awakening Robin. - Character proficiencies need to be a stronger guiding factor in how you raise your characters, and there needs to be more incentive to follow them. Certification exams requirements should be stricter, or players should be more restricted in how often they can take them so there's less incentive to take an exam with a sketchy pass rate. Either make the pass rate % drop off much harsher for failing to meet the rank requirements, or limit players to one certification exam per character per month. - Mount/dismount needs to be fixed in general, because right now there's the weird behavior where if you cancel out of the movement menu after mounting/dismounting in place, you get to move after doing so. It's unclear whether this behavior is intended or unintended. If it's unintended it should be removed, and if it's intended, you shouldn't have to go through such an unintuitive action sequence. - Bug fixes. Currently there's a BL map (I think it's Dimitri's Paralogue, but im not 100% sure) that hardlocks your save if you save on the prep screen. Stuff like this is uncharacteristically sloppy for a Nintendo game and really should have been patched out already. EDIT: Also, meals are even more broken than they were in Fates, given that you can stack 3-4 of them in a month.

Even with that on every enemy, all it is doing is balancing out your weapon prowess levels for the most part if you go at a disadvantage to the enemy. And with how easy it is to keep 2 weapon ranks pretty much even all the way through the game, this isn't much of a disadvantage since you can just swap weapons. Also, brawl secondary is just broken on so many characters since its outside the weapon triangle, super high AS, and strong enough to kill anything in one round that isnt an armor unit.

I'd put brawl alongside Axe if you have weap triangle. That's what I thought was happening before it was confirmed no triangle
