Vici Gaming, EHOME and LGD have all announced the last few days that they are entering the CS:GO scene. It will be interesting to see how they fare. I'm guessing that it will be very difficult for them to be successful, they are after all going to have to compete against players that have played the game for 10+ years. I don't think that CS is a big game over there historically. But do they have that kind of experience playing other shooters?
Why are my allies so weak and pathetic?

As far as I know, games like Crossfire (cs copycat) are pretty popular in china, so yes they do play shooters similar to cs.
CSGO itself is not a big game at all there tho, probably because of the pricetag and the fact that it is harder to play it in internet cafes/pc bangs. As such their talent pool is not deep at all and they probably won't achieve much internationally. I'm afraid its gonna need more effort from valve to popularise csgo in asia, especially regarding the business model.

eh, we'll have to see how things go. the big issue i see for china is like roggay said, breaking into the chinese FPS market and developing new talent

They're obviously getting teams because the Chinese scene has been growing... Like c'mon.

This is awesome. I hope Chinese teams and Korean teams start some trend and CSGO enters those markets properly. Then it might become challenging for fnatic and nV to win every major there is.

On PGL (during Christmas) they played CS 1.6 offline. 1.6 and Crossfire have been played there for ages. Its just that the scene in China and outside of China had no connections.

I love to see teams of asian areas play.

Overall, they don't seem to be at a top international level in terms of individual skill, but they are quite solid and consitent players.

From what I have seen: Games between asian teams are a lot more strat heavy than european and american games. Seriously, it's quite rare for me to see them play and stream a game, but I never watched a game without learning anything new. It's like they are playing a completely different game compared to EU/NA.

I would love to see them compete against international teams.

I think you undervalue the amount of strategy and meta mind games in EU scene , if what you say is true then CN will be better then EU soon enough, aimers are born in CN every second .

CN had around 25+ million 1.6 players....
It was quite a big deal

You are not completely right, cs 1.6 in China was very popular at one point.
