I started playing HC with friends and I have a trapAssassin. NM mode atm, max resist via fade and some good o "THE WARD" shield xD Doing pretty good but I read you guys saying you get 1 shotted in hell level and I am very veyr worried... Is max resist not enough? Is max resist with 1.2k life not enough?! I mean I'll be careful and everything but you cannot dodge 1 shotters from across the screen... thx! | ||

As long as you keep dumping all your points into vitality you should be fine. Whenever I started up a new diablo account I would always use a trapasin as my MF'er, and I did fine even in hell with crappy gear. Don't worry too much about hell - fade is good but also use cloak of shadows, its really useful considering you just want to stand back and let your traps do the work. Max resist on a trapasin isnt as crucial as a lot of the other classes because you really don't expect to get hit at all as long as you're careful. | ||

You can also just copy a character from someone else into your save folder. And to the trapsin guy, you dont need any resists in hell if you dont get hit or barely ever. Trappers will have 1200+ hit points (without BO) since they can dump all their points into vit once they have the claw requirements for runic talons or the exceptionnal version. The thing that will stop you from getting further in hell diff is poor damage, you will need a ton of skillups with synnergies (sadly you wasted points into fade) and a beefy merc. I'd copy paste my level 91 HC trapper gear setup but she DIED, joining the ranks of R.I.P. guardians along with my 94 furyzon, 88 fishymancer T_T Basicly you want to run with 2 double claw setups 1 for prebuff on fade/bos/you name it (+shadow skills/+fade) and your main setup would be ideally +3traps/+3 Lightning sentry +3 fireblast but just a double +3 traps setup is already pretty good. The forums that were linked diabloiii.net is a great source for info, there's also a german calculator (for skillpoints and synnergies) but I dont have the link handy atm. | ||

Goddamn dolls...Those and the stupid clouds that shoot out that lightning have killed more hc characters than I care to remember. You're talking about gloams, and yea they are indeed scary. Tomb vipers (In nilhatak's temple) are a major pain in the ass too, for mercs anyway. | ||

my advice is to get as much resistance as possible. lower resist/conviction really really takes your resist down. i'd also suggest max block with stormshield as that gives 35% damage reduction (huge!) pump the majority of your stats to vitality, the rest should be dexterity, again for max block and a few sparingly to strength as stormshield requires 156 strength i believe. | ||

Ok so im feeling very emo right now. My hardrcore character that ive been playing for about a month with my brother just died (he was a 36 druid). He got surrounded by those big mofo guys that baal summons and I was unable to get out.
