This isnt a lazy copy paste remaster, its a full blown remake.

Loading Ready Run's Graham made a monologue in a recent edition of CheckPoint that I could sign! Also I like how he "established" that this is not a "Remake" but a "Do-Over"! http://loadingreadyrun.com/videos/view/2559/CheckPoint-211-The-Final-Word

The scenario of the first part to the Final Fantasy VII Remake is already complete, staff interviews in the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu reveals. As previously announced, Final Fantasy VII Remake is being broken up into parts as the density of the original game would not allow a remake to fit into a single release, according to Square Enix. Separate from Limit Breaks, there is another unique system. They can’t show it yet, but the it will be different depending on the player’s fighting style. As for the cast, they’re continuing plans with the voice actors from Advent Children, but there are some that still haven’t been offered yet. Red XIII only made a cameo appearance, so his voice is likely to be changed.

Dengeki PlayStation this week features a new interview with Final Fantasy VII Remake director Tetsuya Nomura and producer Yoshinori Kitase. Regarding Voices… Nomura: “Basically, it will be fully voiced. We still haven’t decided the voices of the characters that weren’t in Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children.” So does that mean dating events will be fully voiced? Kitase: “It would be impossible not to. (Laughs.) However, since it’s different from that time and social situation, we need implement the reproduction of original events carefully.” Nomura: “Ah, the Honey Bee Inn… (Laughs.)” Will there be mini-games? Kitase: “We want to put the mini-games that remain favorable among fans in as much as possible.” Nomura: “There were a lot of things from big to small, but we need to consider a bit whether it’s necessary to create them all with the latest technology.” Kitase: “The development staff is also thinking about what to do with the mini-games.” How’s production going? Kitase: “We’re at the stage where we can say we’re finally getting started. We have ideas regarding battles, too, but it will take time to drop them into the actual game.” Final Fantasy VII‘s 20th anniversary is in 2017. Can we expect anything for its original release date on January 31? Kitase: “I can’t say anything at the moment. (Laughs.)” Nomura: “Personally, I’m waiting for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 and World of Final Fantasy in 2016. I think when they’re completed, I’ll be able to release new information.” Source

barret is way too lean for my liking lol, i mean it fits that he would be overweight (if still insanely strong), but being insanely strong AND that lean is a bit much, like he is some olypmic prodigy, whereas i thought he was a lot more gritty new figmas http://gamerant.com/final-fantasy-7-remake-figurines/ idk what this is but imma gonna watch it lol something smash bros (omnislash at end) LOL heres part 1 the scorpion boss scans barrett and he says "look see, he knows im afraid!" "look at me! i'm a terrorist! i'm a part of avalanche and i feel great!" this is so fukin good

Square Enix producer Yoshinori Kitase recently shared some info on the development of Final Fantasy VII Remake in a developers interview for 2016 ambitions in this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine. [Thanks, Hachima.] “I believe that this year will still be a year of preparations for Final Fantasy VII Remake,” shared Kitase. “I’d like to create a new kind of value for the hardware that is the PlayStation 4 for our next announcement.” Source

According to SuperMetalDave64 - a YouTuber with a reasonably solid track record when it comes to rumours - Final Fantasy VII Remake and Final Fantasy XV will both be ported to NX at some point. Furthermore, both versions could end up being the definitive editions, as the source claims that NX will surpass the PS4 in terms of processing power. It's worth pointing out for a second time that this is the kind of rumour that multiple pinches of salt should accompany; SuperMetalDave64 even explains that his unnamed source in this case isn't a developer on either project, but has given him solid information in the past. On paper at least, the rumour isn't that hard to believe. In the case of Final Fantasy XV, it's already a multi-platform title confirmed for PS4 and Xbox One, so a release on NX would certainly make sense.

"It will essentially be a full-scale game for each part of the multi-part series. In XIII, each installment told the story from a different angle. It was kind of like approaching an unknown territory, in a sense. Whereas with FFVIIR, we already have a preexisting story, so it wouldn't really make sense if that isn't encompassed in the multi-part series... So, if we're just looking at each of these parts, one part should be on par with the scale of one FFXIII game." "I, along with Nomura-san and Nojima-san were involved with the original FFVII game. We were the people who created it, so in that sense, we don't think anything is untouchable. That isn't to say we're changing everything!!" The game is still early in production, but fans can safely expect a shorter development timeline than the decade-long road FFXV has traveled. Source
