The forthcoming "Final Fantasy 7" remake is set to bring dramatic changes, as confirmed by director Tetsuya Nomura himself. Adding to the hype is the release of a five-disc remix album in honor of the development of the said game. According to Christian Today, director Tetsuya Nomura promises some significant changes to the "Final Fantasy 7" remake, although "we're not able to say the details of what we're changing." The director also explained that despite the proposed changes, how the game is played like that of a shooter game will not be affected. Furthermore, Nomura ensured that in spite of the new elements within the game, it will still be the same "Final Fantasy" game that gamers adore. One of the changes that Tetsuya Nomura reportedly mentioned is the 3D experience that the whole team is working on. Also, reports have it that developing "Final Fantasy 7" remake has become a learning curve for Nomura and company and that it made the game really special for them. On the other hand, Yibada reports that Square Enix's head Yoichi Wada confirmed that the company shall only develop another game if and only if it exceeds the quality of the upcoming "Final Fantasy 7 remake. For all the shit that FF13 gets it actually does have a combat system which isn't spam A to win and have a lot of depth under the surface. The issue with most FF games is if they use the traditional combat system then there will always be a go to strat which is strictly better in all circumstances. Wait FF13 combat system was : "Enter","Enter","Enter","Enter","Enter","Enter","Enter"."Fuck that i'm switching for Heal,Dps and just leave until combat ends". Then there's 3 boss where you have to actually do change stuff because they are a lot harder. But most of the game is "idle combat". I know that because i left the computer mid fight or alt tab and i when i came back, the only time i dead was for some boss that i had a lot of work to pass. I really don't get why is there depth in a auto combat system. Sure you can change strat each seconds. But why ? Just idle for 80% of the game'scombat with auto heal and auto fight and you win almost every fight. FF7 combat system was nice. You had to combine stuff and it was up to you to launch this spell or this spell, you could kill 3mobs with a big summoning or just iceing a firemonster. FFX was more of planning what you need to do next or play fast. FF8 was all about collecting to buff your character that's why it had no armors. I don't really like FF8 but it was chaning. FF6 was about the same thing as the 7 but you had to choose what characters you wanted to use (because you liked a character or because it was a fun ability). I don't remember FF9 to be honest. In FFXIII you don't remember any spell you cast because they are just random animation that you don't watch. Everyone remember the sound of ultima in FF7, the sound or the moves of Shivah in FF8. All i remember in FFXIII is... the Odin summum. Hope they don't really change FF7 combat. 80% of what you do in FF to get the story is combat. So if you change combat system you change more than half the game. | ||

I did 2 full playthroughs of FFVII back in the day and hardly bothered with Cait Sith, didn't like the dude and had no idea it was an OP character. Even as much as I like FFVII I couldn't keep on replaying it. The old style JRPGs just do not have the kind of gameplay that can keep me coming back to them again and again so I personally give zero fucks for broken strats in a single player game with very limited replay value. | ||

Oh I am sure you are right. I don't mind them doing new things but from the sound of it, they are trying to push a lot of new system in. I would very much prefer they polish on what they have and build upon it But of cause these are empty talks until we know what's actually in place | ||
