I'm not disapointed that it's action, but would like to see if it has a decent ammount of depth, I don't want to sit through 40 hours of button mashing X like Kingdom Hearts II | ||

Guess we can just hope the backlash will be significant enough, maybe thats why SE put this out so early in the development cycle so they could get a feel of how it will be recepted and maybe change things. Idk, I just don't like the camera angle at all. edit: What are they going to do about the overworld? Cut it out completely? | ||

Hope they put in autobattle at least so I can get through the entire game mashing just one button as I watch my party tickle the enemies to death. Unless they make autobattle intentionally bad, then I might actually have to use the directional pad or something else for once. | ||

If I don't end up liking what they've done with it, I still have the original game disc, and the steam version to play whenever the hell I want. It sure as hell looks good though. And the voice actors seem decent so far. | ||

The combat system seems to be a mix of action and ATB. I'm quite intrigued to learn more about it, but it looks good too. The only bad thing about this trailer is the voice acting, but seeing as VA is one of the last steps in development, they probably slapped something together in a bit of a rush just so these particular scenes would have voice acting. You can tell because some lines are out of sync with the character's lips and stuff. Also, Cloud's arms look.. odd? Not too skinny, but his muscles don't look right. | ||

Not too skinny, but his muscles don't look right. looks like they made him suuuper muscular and suuper skinny at the same time... i assume its because the shit he does would be impossible without being insanely muscular whilst keeping that bodyweight . but then i thought thats where mako and fantasy element comes in . to me it is actually indicative that they are trying to stress the fact that cloud is a goddamn freak of strength and darkness compared to everyone else . hes not a prettyboy but is actually scarey strong and fucked up from mako and looks the part. actually love the idea i guess on the other hand they do have to be careful that it isn't _too_ gritty otherwise the lighthearted parts won't work too well (cloud being a bit of a bumbling dork at times). its something to think about anyway the only thing i'm not too keen on in the trailer is that he should have been shielding himself from the bullets with his sword when running to the train, right? i mean, he doesn't want to get hit by bullets and i dont see any reason he would think one wouldnt hit him. i am hopeful that this is the sort of thing square will notice and edit at a later date, as they done so for the movie (fixed a number of random errors afaik) edit: it also lends to remove illusion from young people to think being insanely strong is purely magical . maybe mako infusion makes you insanely strong coz it makes you insanely muscular. i like that coz it inspires/encourages real people to want to be muscular (i.e. strong, fit and healthy) (through training) rather than giving a dilusion that its all "just magic". if someone wants to be "strong like cloud" they know they can train to be strong like him. if he was totally prettyboy no muscle fantasy strong then it wouldn't inspire as much in the real world | ||
