The game is now split into different parts. Not surprised as I suspected it when they showed how detailed Midgar was. Now I wonder if the first part is just Midgar. | ||

It seems getting the game onto PS4 made it much easier to port to PC. Great news, can't wait to buy it (though FF13 has taught me not to preorder FF games on PC). edit: Don't like the multi-part release news, baaah, one of the reasons I didn't like the 3rd person view was because making Midgar beautiful and detailed is much more expensive in 3rd person than in an isometric view like the original game. There is just too much stuff there to make this game (no cutting any parts) without a multi-disc approach, so I guess if you anyway have to go multi-disc just release the discs separately. But JRPG's are great in my opinion because they are so long and build up ambiance and tone while you play, it make you more invested in the plot if you play through a 100 hour game now from start to finish rather than 20 hours every six months. SE shareholders are rubbing their hands though. | ||

All these modern bullshit mechanics pretty much only allows you to control the main character and automate the remaining ones. After a while, you no longer give a shit to the comrades of your protagonist. | ||

although iirc disc 3 was just jenova/sephiroth so maybe they'll stretch part 3 to involve more of the meteor stuff or whatever | ||
