Ah I expected way more bugs. But it seems other people do have those bugs on a regular basis. This one sucked though as it affected all my saves of this run for some reason.
And still enjoy the game. Would prefer a more guerrilla approach, where you can pick from tons of targets, but it ups the security of a region etc. Dislike feeling as if i have to win every mission, which i get in xcom2 for some reason.

Finished the game today. Was having a fun time, but I dont think I'll re-play it. The middle parts were the most fun though.

Endgame is a bit crummy indeed, but there are a lot of different ways to go, so experimenting with different builds and compositions makes the game a lot of fun on consecutive runs as well. I probably will stop after I get my dream comp, tho.

Well dream comp is easy, go full psi-ops. It doesn't get more dreamy than that.

I finished my I/C run, went for completion, so didn't do the final until I had whole earth done and everything else as well. Had 4 maxed psi-ops, 2 aliens got to make a turn in the final battle and obviously both of them attacked a mimic beacon.

Soooooo I just had a Stun Lancer trying to stab open air. No overwatch or anything like that, it just tried to attack blank air. Has that happened to anyone else.

I've had enemies try to melee attack the same space where my mimic beacon disappeared for like 3 turns straight after it disappeared. I also had sectoids and keepers both ressurect zombies from mimic beacons so...

I've noticed that if you try to grenade the space a mimic beacon was the game complains about friendly fire. Seems like it isn't correctly being cleaned up after it fades.

melee in general does seems to be pretty wonky still. i had plenty of berserkers and faceless just hit random things in front of my soldiers without even touching them (no miss).

There are few things quite as enjoyable as Executing a Gatekeeper.

I just finally completed my first ever playthrough on Commander Ironman and holy shit am I amazed.

That last mission was so INTENSE, my heart was beating like a mad man, because I literally thought I was going to lose right at the final room because of how rediculous it got.

The things that make ur heartbeat go faster is whenever people shoot and they miss or not

but what is worse is when there are berserkers/Faceless on the prowl and they get on the tile next to your unit but then have used up all their movement points so they can no longer attack. Makes me scared everytime.

I must say that the final mission for Xcom 2 completely blows the final mission of EU/EW out of the water. I also think a huge contributing factor of why my heart was beating so fast was because I literally had absolutely no idea what to expect. After fighting in the final room for so long, I kill one avatar, another joins the fight with a few more aliens, and I haven't even finished mopping up the previous 2 warp ins of aliens, 1 turn later, the final avatar joins the fight with berserkers and mutons. After getting close to killing 1 of the last 2 avatar, even more shit gets warped in. I legit thought I was going to lose because there was so many aliens in the room.

I was a little disappointed with the second to last mission though. Was fun, but no where near the level of the final mission.

Anyways, though, how about that DLC? I'm not disappointed or angry at all because I knew what to expect. With the amount of customization you can already do, there was no way they weren't going to add in some more options. Which is why I can't help but facepalm at people who are complaining about it when EU did nothing different except offer much much less with its cosmetic DLC.

In EU, the elite soldier pack which added a small amount of new customization options for 4.99$, eh why not.

In Xcom 2, over 100 new customization options for 4.99$? HELL YES! Sign me up!! Theres literally no contest here.

well they have to offer a lot because of all the mods giving customization for free.

I had to abort one campaign (luckily early on though) because one civilian was blocking the only tile that could lead my soldiers to the evac point on a VIP mission.

Anyhow, the first confirmed DLC for the game will be a cosmetic one. However, from the screenshots I have seen they have really high quality

That is true, but some of those customization mods take up alot more space then it actually should. Not all customization mods are of professional quality, save for a few like Capnbub's.

Comestic and voice packs tend to overload your RAM btw. I stopped used them for that reason. I won't play the game until they fix the performance tho, it is just tiresome how poor performance can be later in the game with a computer that should run it flawlessly.

Still 180 hours, so the game has been worth it, and it will continue to be in the future for sure.

Patch:
http://steamcommunity.com/games/268500/announcements/detail/843669090303101447

Still did nothing for my performance issues... god damn. The patch reset my settings having to go through the 1 FPS menu load all over again

I have an okay system, and it can run "okayish" at 1080p and low settings. But I must say that the new patch and the Zip Mode REALLY speed things up. The game runs more than fine for me. But I also seem to have gotten "lucky", even though my hardware isn't great. But I also haven't had a mission with 3+ Archons yet. (For some reason, as my campaign has gone, the Archons really slow things down.)

Working my way through a normal Legendary run with just a few mods. (Swords/Sniper Rifles with armor pierce being the only combat mod.) It's been fun. Not as much save-scumming as I've certain strengths come online. I've also gotten some much better Map spawns as I've gone through, my early Retaliation mission maps were just brutal, even with Mag weapons.
