Got my engineer killed pretty early as I didn't realise you could probably do remote hacking with the drone instead of yoloing the actual soldier in on the last possible turn. Also the character customization is like about 50 times better than Xcom:EU. | ||

Anyway I am really liking this game. But you will have to make trade-offs if you want to make progress. I had to run a ranger through an overwatch to kill a sectiod mind-controlling my operative and a zombie at the same time. And with many missions being times, you will need to be more mobile in combat. But I'm liking it. | ||

A pod of three Advent Troopers spawned on top of the statue your supposed to blow up and couldn't get down. Took a screenshot of it because it was funny. I maneuver myself around and spot the pod with the Sectoid and Trooper, waited a few turns then in comes the Officer pod right near the statue where the three Troopers were stuck on. Setted up an overwatch ambush and the Sectoid pod came over and activated second after the Officer pod activated. And because the Officer pod activated and they were near the stuck Troopers, they activated too. Three missed their overwatch shots on the Officer but one hit. Needless to say everyone died :D :D :D :D Never had so much fun getting squad wiped LOL | ||

The minimum limit you need to save forces you to move faster + Show Spoiler + and then they spring a faceless on you that takes your entire squad a full turn to kill. If you trigger it when rescuing your basically dead... | ||

If you hold your mouse over the red icon in the bottom left corner on the soldiers rank icon you can see what they do. To the person asking about Base Defence, yes it exists + Show Spoiler + There is a building that provides extra defenses against ground assaults, I assume that means it is more frequent aswell | ||

I'm gonna play commander or the 1 difficulty lower and be the usual save-reload scumbag that I was when playing Xcom1 on the first playthrough. Oh you had 78% accuracy and you still missed that alien? Nope. Reload and do it again soldier. This time, properly :D | ||
