I really dig the political (in)correctness of this map :o)
I'm just amused that countries like Bangladesh and Mongolia get theirs unlocked at European time instead of Asian time. South Korea looks like one of the countries blacked out as well where I'm assuming the game is not available there.

It's available in Korea right now, same as Australia / rest of Asia. No idea why it's blacked out there

from the US you have to use a VPN or wait until midnight EST
While I anticipate higher difficulty and more use of your brains, I really hope there are no bullshit early missions like there were in EW like the "Portent" one... god those Thin Men back then on that map messed up so many of my classic/iron man runs
I'm looking forward to getting wiped out in my first Terror mission, or whatever equivalent may be in this game. Getting devoured by Chrysalids and fleeing back to the Skyranger, with only 1 survivor from the mission, was one of my best painful memories from when I played Enemy Unknown the first time.

what you guys playing on, im not sure... normal for experimentation with classes and setup or straight to classic
Seriously, half the difficulty of that mission was the first encounter after opening the garage. One rocket + collateral damage was usually enough to clear all the thin men. After that, there's only single thin men and drop-ins. Abusing height advantage and being able to tank 2-3 shots with the MEC was the name of the game for the rest of the mission.
I'm going to save scum while experimenting. I'm one of those people that don't like restarting campaigns after 5-10 hours in. Is there a difficulty level between normal and classic? I forgot what I did with XCom 1.

There were 2 hard bits, that one, and if you're unlucky enough to trigger the 2 lowland Thin Man packs and they scurry to cover on or behind the far building. Then when you move down to the middle to get the VIP, they'll flank you from the roof or behind.
In that mission, if you opened from the left of the building, you could go 1 pod of thinmen at a time, for those times when you do not have a heavy ;P.

Maybe if I took the time to memorize the map and the spawn drops of the thin men then it would be a piece of cake
But that would require way too much time and memory for a casual like myself, and even then it's annoying when your tech is shit and the best shot you get is still 60-70 something % and you miss against them and kill you the following turn cuz of that miss... that's at least how I remembered that stupid mission
