Warrior tanking is the more challenging/rewarding out of DK. DK is easy faceroll class I'd go with Warrior as it is by far the more enjoyable tank class and you get a shield....how can you tank without a shield?! xD On February 11 2014 16:05 Cook wrote:On February 11 2014 15:39 Arnstein wrote:I can't move my character as I have to clear the mailbox, and I don't have playtime Just so you know, the transfer fee is higher than the monthly sub. Logic Panda is logical :D But yeah i think Warrior is by far the best tank with the most rotation and spells and such, what i find anyway. It is great fun too imo. Warrior does the most damage, DK takes the least, Pally splits the difference, druids and monks are meh. lol solo tank blood rage to get vengeance for dps, then again other classes can do it as well if you stack CDs, note how prot warriors, bears and pallies parse higher on that fight than monks

Hey guys! Going to be picking up WoD and just reactivated my subscription as well.
Fallen750 - Fallen#1646 - Mannoroth - Alliance.

Welp, Trial of the Gladiator scrapped, and replaced with bringing back skirmishs and adding gold/honor for them, as well as spectator mode for arena.
There goes the only reason I was going to buy the expo and start playing WoW again.

LOL if that turns out to be the real prize. That's barely competing with various level services/sold accounts.

I don't really care tbh. Plenty of people will buy that and give blizz money while the rest of us will still level up alts ridicolously fast cuz heirlooms

Since I haven't really had time to raid (except some LFR) for the past several years, leveling is the most part of the game for me anyway. I honestly don't really understand the appeal of paying to hit level 90 >_<. End game can be so repetitive. Leveling you can go through so many different zones... experience all the nice little storylines. Damn I need to reactivate my WoW subscription.

Heres $60 for a game Now heres $60 more so I don't have to play that game Makes sense to me

I can't imagine anyone would be surprised by this. Blizzard has been doing this for years now - check out some of the class "buffs" throughout recent expansions. You'll find that about half of the "buffs" that classes got were actually reverted nerfs from months before. Then there's the rehashed dungeons branded as "new heroics!" and all the features they've used to hype expansions and patches only to be removed lasts minute (why hello there, dance studio).
The DOTA-style battleground Defense of the Alehouse that was supposed to launch with Mists of Pandaria - scrapped Player housing was in alpha and early beta of vanilla - scrapped Path of the Titans was supposed to launch with Cataclysm - scrapped Dance Studios were supposed to launch with Wrath of the Lich Kind - scrapped Azshara Crater was supposed to launch alongside Alterac Valley in vanilla - scrapped Azshara Crater was one of the three battlegrounds announced for Mists of Pandaria - scrapped again Aerial Combat was one of the announced features for Wrath of the Lich King - scrapped Emerald Dream raid zone has been finished and in the game files since vanilla - scrapped Azjol-Nerub zone and raid was one of the big selling points of Wrath of the Lich King - scrapped Abyssal Maw raid for Cataclysm - scrapped War of the Ancients raid for Cataclysm - scrapped
It has become a trend for them to announce features and use said features to hype up an expansion, then suddenly scrap them last minute. Basically they announce all of these features to make an expansion sound like it has a lot of content (and even then WoW expansions are really dull compared to other MMOs) and then they strip away half of them due to "lack of resources" or other nonsense. It's marketing at it's finest.

Ok for me by the way i will probably do this cuz i can't think of anything worst than leveling. After the 3rd time it's stupid. You say "so many different zones" to level in, thats right until you hit the expansions. Then it is the same shit the last 3 times you done it. I leveled my Monk 1-90 this expansion and after i did it i think i took a week off the game because it was that much of a drain to level it. I then got it full tyrannical gear and PvP'd for that season. Now i am left with just 4 classes i haven't got to 90 but would like too. But im not leveling them again >.< It is different though, i just wish i was as active as i was now when the transistion from Vanilla to TBC came in though as leveling 0-70 was piss. Hardest part the standard 50-58 before you can go TBC areas. However that ship has sailed now and it takes a decent amount of time to get to outland then now it becomes way to repetitive. I dungeon leveled my shaman from 85-89 and a half, that took a little over 8 days, with on a day off from work i did the the last part leveling. I dungeon leveled my priest from 85-90. I dungeon leveled my hunter the same. All because for me doing quests for xp gets way to repetitive and some of the drop rates on items u need FML xD Yes the money is way to much for the average player to boost yourself 1-90, but for me someone who has moved realms and faction changed more than i can think off this is a pretty good deal. I will use it once before WoD probably and maybe at WoD too. Need to find out how much the cost is for EU though, i think it will be £40 €45 or something.

Have they actually said anything about the 1 free level boost to 90 with WOD? I mean, maybe you still get 1 for free?

You get the one for free with a special version of the pre order i think. Like standard copy be £25 but if you want level 90 free version going to cost like £35 or something i think i heard it was going to be like that. (prices just a guess)
|
nah, no special version. everyone who buys WoD gets a free boost to 90 for 1 char. they confirmed that multiple times already

Lots of info on MMO-champion about the expansion. Some European/Asian press event.
Leveling and Other Numbers I played a gnome warrior in the Shadowmoon Valley, the Alliance starting zone. After about 5 hours of /played and 80
quests I reached the end of the zone and Level 92.
At level 91, I had 63k health as a Tank.
Monsters had around 100k health.
I was dealing around 1k to 5k damage on normal hits. Up to 10k critical damage for some abilities (Shield Slam).
It takes 597k XP to go from level 90 to level 91 and 640k xp to go from level 91 to 92.
Quests rewards were between 10k and 15k xp. Up to 20k for the difficult ones.
A new quest type is available: the "Bonus Objectives". When you walk around a zone, new objectives might appear randomly in your quest list. Completing the objectives will reward you with extra experience, leaving the area will drop the quest.
More info about the starting zone and misc at http://www.mmo-champion.com/content/

Is it me or that sounds like very little xp for each level? I think the numbers were considerably higher in tbc/wrath.
edit: nvm it's comparable to tbc numbers, but a bit lower than wrath and cata numbers. http://www.wowwiki.com/Formulas:XP_To_Level . I think you got less experience in tbc though.

Wow, I've been on Cenarius, Alliance side, since 2008, was in a solid guild for two years (Poseidon) that folded at the start of 2011. I'm tempted to join up, but right now I'm kind of addicted to EVE Online. We'll see!

Such an easy fix to change that though, wouldn't be surprised if they want to keep the number low though to give players more of a chose and pick and not being forced to do a lot. I love leveling myself but a lot of people don't so no reason to force people to quest "just to level". One of the great things about the later expansions was the way you could do half a zone and have the level to move on to the next zone in case you just wanted to or because it was crowded.
