I checked my weapons and they had the same stats (exactly the same dps) as the heroic deathwing ones, even though the ilvl was miles lower I mean lets be honest. Why are we wasting item levels on 60/70/80/90 raiding tiers? A second squish is going need to happen and at this rate we need to cut whatever waste we can

The power difference between tiers actually doesn't exist now, at all. 232 items that you get from the vendor when you start Hyjal have the same exact stats as the 272's you get while quest, and ilvl 200 ones are also very close to those http://www.wowhead.com/item=42101/ebonweave-robe http://www.wowhead.com/item=72621/magesoul-robe http://www.wowhead.com/item=57283/rockbreaker-robes I've been levelling my lock from Northrend to Draenor and the growh in the actual power of items is basically non existant, until lvl 90 you can be 100 item levels behind quest rewards and not see a significant change in stats. The squish per se was just done badly from a math pov. What's the point of removing the numbers on items, when you have extra stats that add damage like multi/versatility to replace +hit (which removed damage penalites, didn't add any dps)? And why the fuck are spellpower coefficients so ridicolus (see my previes post)?

also this is the third time in 15-20 or so groups that people have wiped or died once and completely disbanded the group in a 5 man lol

Deals (60.2064% of Attack power) Shadowfrost damage to an enemy, healing the Death Knight for 400% of damage dealt.

Then you level any other character and realize that in fact anything while levelling is a fucking joke

casters in dungeons however are the epitome of boring and why ive never managed to level one. literally everything, trash, bosses whatever dies before you can finish a spell cast 90% of the time. In Outland its worse, bc the bosses have similar health to bosses in old world dungeons but your damage is high enough to the point where you pretty much destroy them in a couple hits too IMO they need to rethink the stat overhaul and start it back from scratch imo.

But really, just change the fucking spellpower coefficients at first.

Didn't they also state that they want ridiculous scaling to encourage gear progression? Think it came up in this thread when the seeming ilvl inflation was discussed.

Ridicolous scaling would be reasonably good, except we have characters doing 3-4 times as much damage in the span on one tier, which is just absurd. It sets them up for squishing every expansion, but honestly how the fuck are they going to make low levels even more meaningless regaring gear? This idea of ridicolous gear progression is what is causing scaling issues at max level now, not all the gaps between expansions (which at this point do not exist anymore).

Forget about teaching new players how to play while leveling, when has that ever worked? Unless the person knew beforehand about being a good gamer, everyone emerged as the typical LFR noob out of leveling. Low level content is at this point an outdated gating mechanic for new players, which is why there is a lv90 boost with every WoD purchase.

Here's a crazy idea: what if instead of a flat stat squish (which was kind of mediocre tbh), they actually squished levels as well? Change the xp and level ranges for a lot of zones, but also make it so max level is back to, say, 80. This way you can actually level through different paths (say, choosing between northrend and outland), while not outpacing the content and actually seeing the stories complete while questing. At max level since you start with a base of naturally lower stats, it's harder for numbers to immediately jump out of control. It wouldn't be the first time they changed the xp ranges necessary to level (hence why now you outpace content so quickly), and changing xp/hp/damage values on mobs should be relatively simple.

If it weren't for the travel times, I think I would have done more questing as well, when leveling new alts. There are several revamps I haven't played, not to mention Pandaria (only done starting zone)...
