So yeah, item level wins. By a metric fuckton. There are cases in which this isn't true (mastery and ww/mw monks for example), but they are very rare.

Wish I could have gotten into some good pugs earlier in the week because it was painful the last few days, for me anyway. Furnace and Blackhand taking a lot of time. Ended up making my own group for Normal Blackhand after about 20 wipes with other groups, after seeing some of you guys say they beat it by just overgearing it. Only invited people 675+ and got it down in 8 attempts, the 7th attempt being a 1% wipe <100k HP. Better than I thought considering I'm not the most comfortable "leading" a group. Kind of funny because the group I had before it had this guy Theories from the US 1st Heroic Blackhand kill but it was failing miserably. Though it wasn't his fault lol + Show Spoiler + Here's the video of the kill | ||

 our melee kept on popping slag bombs, and I felt like we were almost too good like killing the siegmakers because we always had to soak impales when no siegemakers were up. | ||

Killing the siegemaker so no fire spawns makes the fight a lot better, too. Make sure ranged switch to it when the dmg reduction buff has been removed, and for the hunter to run it over bombs. People pretty much can't die in p2. Save lust, cds (if possible) and 2nd pot for final phase when boss is in position | ||

PVP was pretty well done. It would have been cool if you could queue for a specific BG on rated with your group. This would have opened up an interesting meta for group comps. Arena was alright, felt a bit stale since everyone had some form of extreme dmg mitigation to cope with all of the extreme dmg buffs. I almost completely avoided 2v2 though because it wasn't fun playing against DK/x all the time. I'm a bit bias to the TBC arena era though. 3v3 had pretty good variety though. | ||
