I'm sure that's not true, but what a sad night of wipes. ![]() We did: - Kite the red shit left around the room, 15-20yrds infront of the wall, to allow the rest of the raid to have room to move behind. - Start in a corner, and move left each time the big rock comes. When you're in phase 2 (Shards), keep them at exactly the same energy. This means they'll spawn the rocks like: oooooo oooooo oo-ooo oo-xxx Where x's are previously spawned rocks, and -'s are the two rocks from the shards. If they're at different energies, the 2nd will spawn to the left of the 1st, meaning more likelihood of people dying due to slowness. - Last phase: Every ranged start running left at the same time once the first red comes, stampeding roar etc etc. If you stay grouped and rotate left nobody should get hit by the red unless they're lagging behind. Then just every man for himself as you aoe the adds down! Keep them all on one tank to allow for more cleave, and use all damage reductions on the tank during this time. It's a pretty chaotic fight in the last phase, but the first 2 phases should be consistently performed.

I specifically like to do this on blood elves because the ears and eyebrows are very narrow and susceptible to sharp edges that look very ugly without AA. Here's a full comparison, Teoita: ![]() The quality really does get ruined by imgur but the edges should still be quite visible. (Edit: Uploaded to tinypic, quality is slightly better.) The difference between the last two isn't as big as the difference between the rest, but that comes at a performance cost for the GPU too. Luckily WoW is very CPU dependant and bottlenecked by the CPU more often than not, so cranking up this setting isn't an issue for most people and people especially playing Blood Elves should love it. Edit: Right, here's a better comparison! Click for album!

It's better, yeah. But the CPU still takes the biggest load. I can run the game in 4k DSR (Dynamic Super Resolution) on max settings and get the same framerate as I do when I just run it in 1080p, indicating the GPU doesn't do much work. I don't think it goes above 52C at any time and I have a pretty crappy case/airflow! I do have a GTX 970 and ''just'' an i5 4670, and a bit of a bottleneck is expected I suppose. I edited my previous post with an album including single images and a comparison.

If you listen to what the Panda says there is nothing you can fail o_0 I think if you are new to the game there are things you can screw up. If your dps is really low due to a poor rotation and improper gearing, that can hurt a lot. If you don't know some important shortcut keys that can slow you down too.

I can run medium/fair and get 20-30 FPS on average (funnily enough, raids, bgs and arena seem smoother than Warspear/Garrison) and I was thinking about upgrading my GPU (and getting a SSD). Are you guys saying that because WoW taxes CPU the most I won't be getting a noticeable increase in framerate? I can't afford to replace my entire rig right now and new GPU and SSD seemed like the easiest way to patch the problem before being able to afford a new setup. Am I wrong? You don't need a new GPU. WoW is only about CPU and require very little GPU-Power so a 4 Year old GPU should be more than enough. I have a i5-4570 and a GTX 970 and even I get only get like 40fps in Warspear.

I'm sure that's not true, but what a sad night of wipes. ![]() We made two separate groups. Mountains 1: Ranged group goes back around 18-20 energy, initiates first mountain at 25 while running forward 10 yards. -At 50 energy group just moves left -The one RNG factor that doesn't really go away is when the mountain targets the crystalline barrrage target Shards 3: Get the groups prepared around 20ish energy and stampede away. If the shard health is slightly off the groups need to adjust accordingly. AKA, if the back mountain comes first, that group needs to run forward + left not just left. 4: Same thing at 50 energy. In the final phase it's basically making sure you have no stupid ranged members standing in the middle while doing massive DPS to knock the motes down fast.

I can understand lower than normal DPS the first couple times on that fight while you're focusing on fire, cats, and being in the right place to kite the charge, but 13k is literally DoT and fall asleep. Mythic Brackenspore is one of those fights where you never really wipe the same way twice. It always seems to be somebody different that dies to stupid, or the tank dies because they didn't have a CD for breath or the healers forgot to heal the green mushroom in time, or there was too much moss and he went from 20% to 40%, etc. I kind of enjoy it because it feels like real raiding but am also annoyed at the fact that over 54 wipes I've died maybe 3-4 times before wipe was called and we're still no closer to killing the fucker.
