Yeah I remember tanking shattered halls and shitting myself that over the threat issues while trying to also stay alive at the same time. Having to worry about 2 things > having to worry about 1 thing. Dunno why tanks are even close to the top dps the 5% unpure tax should still exist right? Unless they thought that was a dumb mechanic as well? That 5% tax is and was bullshit and isn't in the game anymore. You should be able to do competitive DPS as a hybrid as long as you are specced for DPS. Tanks doing too much damage is bullshit, but in an ideal world all DPS specs should be equal, whether they're mages or shadowpriests. I liked the 5% tax simply because those classes are forced into longer queue timers and at the end of the day there is really only going to be 1 spec for them rather than 3 simply due to the numbers being slightly higher with one spec. Then again i've only ever played as a tank and a healer so maybe I just feel bad for them. The thing is that as a pure DPS class you have 3 options (and all ranged, or all melee in the case of Rogue), so it's much more likely that at least one will be viable. Meanwhile classes with only one DPS spec like Paladin and Priest are at the mercy of the Blizz Balance Pendulum.

In an ideal world pure dps classes would have 3 specs to choose the optimal one from and adapt for each boss, resulting in higher dps, but also a higher skill requirement to master 3 or more different "rotations". Hybrids should have other utility, not only switching to heal or tank. Honestly, there is almost never a case where you would want someone to switch to heal or tank if you could switch him for a main heal/tank that is on stand-by. Ive raided all through MoP as Shadow in a 25man hc(now mythic) raid and i think i only healed on a single boss, being Tsu Long during day phase as a holy dps/heal hybrid. Shadow and druids had this awesome utility during MoP but it got largely removed for draenor so i dont know where blizzard is taking this but i dont like it.

Ashran is really silly =/. All horde does is events because we're losing main road anyway.

Why is it that horde loses more on Ashran? The map seems fairly symetrical and the amount of players allowed are limited, one should not have a significant amount of more people then the other one.
We win Ashran 99% of the time on Alliance but perhaps i'm just on the wrong server.

Yeah, I've never lost Ashran either. But I don't mind :p

Though I kinda wish instead of slower event spawning from one hotfix, you had twice the rate of spawning with half the amount earned (or less, since it really is too much imo). Lots of running around and scrambling might make it more fun. I did 6k conquest points over a few days because it really was that fast.

Threat was one of the most disappointing things about my return to WoW (stopped after Sunwell). I came back for WoD and was my guilds MT (Prot Paladin) and the fact you basically hit any mob with any attack and it's impossible to rip aggro made tanking really underwhelming. Its' still fun to be the 'focus' of attention as a tank but they dumbed down the role so much that it went from a prestigious skillful position, to mouth breathing don't stand in shit and you're fine type of role.
I honestly don't know what they were thinking when they all but removed threat.

Sorry double, but does anyone know how conquest works? I haven't played Arena in 2 weeks so I was expecting my cap to increase (like my friends caps have) but mine is just stuck at 1900 for the last 2 weeks despite not playing any Arenas. Very weird and shitty since I'm losing out on conquest. ~_~
I really need to figure out how this conquest 'catch-up' mechanic works, should probably just google, lols.

Haven't done Ashran in a while (2-3 weeks), but my main priest (horde) usually had Horde winning. My other priest (dat 100 boost waste), who is alliance on a different server didn't have much problems winning Ashran either. Was very server dependent unless they changed something recently.
Also got my 3 stones quests, 690 ring here I come.

Oh quick rant, why do pve players suck at interrupting?
I'm still salty about a .6%, 1% and a picture perfect 19% (awesome raid cd's still up, healer mana really high, no brez down) mythic brackenspore wipes last night because decays went off. ~_~
last night was a very un-fun 4 hours lol.

last night was a very un-fun 4 hours lol. Probably because interupts are unorganized, resulting in wasting cds all at the same time, most interupts are upto 30 sec cds. And not all interupts are the same. Range interupts like silence are weaker, because they cannot interupt all mobs

on china its a required to be on YY (similar to teamspeak) and theres always a 2 person interrupt rotation with 2 more backup just in case scenarios..usually dying to poor burning of the spread if anything
|
interupts in organized groups is never an issue, but when there's no planning to it, people just kick a cast with 5 otjhers people doing so, so you run out of interrupts. And it's easy to fall into the " someone will kick this one, I'll kick the next one " and nobody kicks. too.

Is the decay cast physically faster on Mythic difficulty?
Also 1% wipe yesterday on M-Koragh, sucks when you have 1-2 people up at the end but they're all caster DPS.

Yep. On Heroic he gains 10% per stack, Mythic he gains 15% per stack. A 2-man rotation with a backup is plenty for the interrupting though. We had issues with the interrupting once the add hit 7 stacks, but it was 9/10 times dead at 6 stacks.
