I can only recommend to find a guild if you want to raid. Seriously, find a guild and you will be happier for it.

One question, is it normal for Warriors to take quite a bit of spike damage? We have 2 warrior tanks and one seems to take quite a bit of spike damage and the other one decently, compared to DKs(yes I know DKs) they seem to take more spike damage and about same overall. Protection Reduced the damage of Seal of Truth for Protection Paladins by 80%. O.o?

So I was raiding in a random guild that I joined because a friend was in it, and several other friends joined (I used to raid with them in Cata, and our progress was pretty good, between top 2 and 15 for France in 10m). It was a pretty meh raid, but we managed to help them enough to reach 2/7 M. The GM had always been really odd (supposedly had been in jail for beating his wife after she cheated on him, plus he probably smoked way too much weed), but he used to be kinda cool and funny, until he didn't get an item he wanted the other night. He has the most geared char in the raid, and he already had these bracers in Heroic, but the warforged heroic version allegedly was crucial to his tanking on M Brackenspore (lol). So he went all crazy and shit, finally pouting and not saying anything else for the night. I suppose he got frustrated because he understood that my friend had become the actual raid and guild leader a while ago by being a way better player and leader, and because we managed to prove via logs that he was the main reason we couldn't kill M Brackenspore because he uses his cooldowns like a retard. The day after, he joined TS and started to argue with my friend, and went bat shit crazy about everything again, saying how my group of friends was trying to take over his guild and how we were pieces of shit and stuff (when it was obviously not our intention, we didn't really care and just helped the guild as we could). It was pretty hilarious, so my mate just left the guild and the guild master kicked us all. He mocked my buddy, saying that he would have a 20 man raid come night when we would be all sad and crying in our garrisons. Tonight, we messaged the other players from the old raid, who were obviously also tired of his BS, put 20 people together and went to clear our usual 2 Mythic bosses like nothing happened. We even got really good attempts on brackenspore, and should be able to kill it next time. Meanwhile, this guy sat alone in his guild, probably raging all the more as all the people he hoped to keep noped away. I've seen some silly stuff in WoW, but a guy destroying his own guild for a 6 ilvl upgrade when he had been lucky enough to get a decent raid for mythic progress is new. It was a really fun couple of days!

Usually a bad idea cause you can use the gear but it was quite funny when it happened. Then again I am 673 ilevel or so, full HC gear with the exception of boots, but I can coin some spirit gear for my offspec too and hope for some WF stuff. The new Ring adds quite a bit of dps, can hit about 30k right now on Butcher, mb a little bit higher(I know, Butcher and all that). Yea, wtf is that. Also a flat 25% nerf to seraphim. The end result is something like a ~20% dps nerf, and a ~10% nerf to survivability (if you were using Seraphim).

When did they change that? Tank's DPS has been bullshit since they added vengeance back in Cata. In WOTLK, you could do decent DPS as a prot warrior, but you needed to use DPS gear and you would take ridiculous amounts of damage. In cata, some hit and expertise were enough to do ridiculous damage. Same in mop, particularly when AOEing (I remember that boss in the first raid with insectoids where tanks would do double or triple the DPS of other classes). Now there is no vengeance anymore, but tanks still do stupid DPS. If I recall correctly, their reason for that is that it's "fun" to do damage as a tank. Well, no it's not. It's fun to tank well designed encounters where your movement and timings matter a lot, I didn't give a damn about my damage while tanking and it always felt stupid when I would do a lot of it >.< Didn't know about the threat not being removed on death though.. Good to know!

Yeah I remember tanking shattered halls and shitting myself that over the threat issues while trying to also stay alive at the same time. Having to worry about 2 things > having to worry about 1 thing. Dunno why tanks are even close to the top dps the 5% unpure tax should still exist right? Unless they thought that was a dumb mechanic as well?

Unless they thought that was a dumb mechanic as well? That 5% tax is and was bullshit and isn't in the game anymore. You should be able to do competitive DPS as a hybrid as long as you are specced for DPS. Tanks doing too much damage is bullshit, but in an ideal world all DPS specs should be equal, whether they're mages or shadowpriests.

I liked the 5% tax simply because those classes are forced into longer queue timers and at the end of the day there is really only going to be 1 spec for them rather than 3 simply due to the numbers being slightly higher with one spec. Then again i've only ever played as a tank and a healer so maybe I just feel bad for them.
