Loool. You don't get ahead of the curve one though i have this :D
Progress is fun WHEN you progress. Aka you wipe like 3-4 times then you get to say phase 2 and wipe for 3-4 times then you get phase 3 etcetcetc until you kill. It is when you wipe for 2 hours in the same phase it becomes "boring" or an issue to solve.
For example the guild im in did complete wrong tactic for Ko'Ragh first week, it took me to make forum post on there website for them to listen to my idea. Yesterday raid we 1 shot every boss on heroic and then 2 shot mythic Kargath and we stopped all in 2 hours i think.
Can't wait for "farm" to begin though will be easy raid times :D don't think we will quite get to that stage by time BRF comes out though hmm. Will try i guess!

Step 1; find the nearest wall
Step 2; slam your head into the wall
Step 3; 7 hours later, stop and go lay down for a while
Step 4; get up next day and do it again
Step 5; 3 hours later, fail bonus loot roll and get no achievement because the LFR gives the same achievement as the normal AND the heroic mode
Yeah my perfect raid times are twice a week for 3/4 hours each night. More than 2 a week is very consuming for me mainly due to when raid times start and when i finish work. Also if you want to be in a decent guild with all these ticked it is even harder lol.

7 hours?!? What kind if guild are you in??
I can barely manage 3 x 3.5 raids!
In FLEX mode you don't have to care, you can have half the raid leave and still be making progress. We only lost a couple people though

Not like that no. If you start with a pet that pet needs to make an action to be awarded experience. If a pet is switched in during the fight it can be switched out again right after and it will gain experience. If a pet was never the active pet it will not gain experience. Dead pets do not gain experience.
The total experience is shared between all eligible non-25 pets. So if you have 1 lower level pet and 2 level 25's the lower level pet will gain 100% of the experience.
But we are fairly casual in the sense that we don't tryhard too much(afaik not even everyone uses 2 pots per fight) or kick people too quickly(altho we should ;.
Going to skip normals soon afaik, maybe do it on offdays and focus on HC/Mythic.
Mythic will be a loooong times away I'd imagine, we have about 12-15 competent people, those last 5 eh.

Yeah and the difference between random pugs and guild progression when you kill the boss is:
Pugs: "dear god we finally killed him, i can't believe i wiped on this guy for weeks even though everyone in my pugs is way overgeared for this shit. Thank god that retarded hunter over there didn't get targetted with any meaningful mechanics this time"
Guild: "Fuck yeah we finally got this bastard down, about time! I told you that tactic would work, nice job everyone!"
I would quit wow within a month if i was forced to pug instead of running stuff with a guild, even a casual one.
Can someone explain the mechanics behind twin ogron whirlwind on mythic. Doing attempts yesterday it seemed as if distance affected the arcane suction to an extent? But it was difficult to tell as in some cases it seemed as if I was 100 yards away and still getting sucked in.

Do you mean why it sometimes pulls you in and sometimes it doesn't? Margok(he's behind the twins when the fight starts) buffs the twins every now and then. I don't remember for sure now but it's something like every 3rd whirlwind which sucks you in, your distance to it doesn't matter.

Yeah, 6/7n > 6/7hc > 7/7n > 1/7m > 7/7hc seems to have been the path for a lot of guilds.
Despite my claims that we'd be stuck on Mythic Twins for a few weeks, i'm feeling slightly more optimistic about it now. We had a 10% wipe, which would have been a kill if we didn't have one dps dead for almost all of fight, and one dps pulling 16k (??). I imagine we'll be benching him and bringing an additional melee next raid, but it's amazing the difference 5-6 ilvls can make from a hc clear.
They lost a lot of key players before MoP release so had to go 10man for that whole expansion, recruited new people while still staying Finnish only, came back for WoD and beat everyone ez.
New Ways to Play We’re exploring the possibility of giving players a way to buy tradable game-time tokens for the purpose of exchanging them in-game with other players for gold. Our current thought on this is that it would give players a way to use their surplus gold to cover some of their subscription cost, while giving players who might have less play time an option for acquiring gold from other players through a legit and secure system. A few other online games offer a similar option, and players have suggested that they’d be interested in seeing something along those lines in WoW. We agree it could be a good fit for the game, and we look forward to any feedback you have as we continue to look into this feature.
