Id definately like to join this one, whats the signup process for this just claim a nation in thread and wait for the server details or do i have to get in the skype group thats been mentioned here. (if i can just claim a nation right now id love to take Xibalba)

Usually the nation selection here is on a first come-first served basis  so unless there are any particular reasons or the nation is explicitly banned (we always banned domkill nations, not like there are any in Early Age), i think you can totally pick whichever nation you like
Small word of warning tho, Xibalba is a cave nation, and you may wanna check that the as yet undecided map for TL7 features those, otherwise you'll be at a slight handicap (i esplicitly avoided picking Xibalba in TL6 due to that map lacking the caves)
The skype group is not mandatory to play, so if you don't feel like joining it it's not a problem, but it helps tremendously with both diplomacy and game mechanics, especially since you get to ask our local veterans about the various obscure dom mechanics in real-time

i played a bit of Dominions 3 (~35hours) but i never have any idea of what im doing, i bought dom 4 when it was on sale...

But there resources in general depend on the question you're looking for. Eg, communion guides, magic booster guides, etc. I once had a comprehensive magic guide in the works, but that's currently gone the way of SC:Ghost. I will no longer make any promises on when it'll come out, or if.
