I just found out about w3.booster.
Is this fan made or blizzard made? If its fan made like I think it is how much more embarrassing can this game make blizzard look?
Its almost been out for a month and it still randomly crashes / desyncs / disconnects.
I was playing the campaign the other day, the game black screened, crashed, then restarted itself. In 20+ years of computer gaming I have never seen a game start by itself.

Think you're going to have to be more specific. All I can find under that name is a streaming tool and am experimental loading booster for the original game from 2012 that works by pushing more stuff into memory. Basically it just constantly runs in the background and uses resources, just so the game will load faster when you eventually want it to (as if the game was already running). Not optimal in any way shape or form, and pretty pointless if you're already running the game from an ssd.

I was refering to how it tracks your stats. a 3rd party website can track our games but the in game client cant? There really is no excuse for this. I can live with Desyncs but for me to play and enjoy an RTS game I have to know where I stand and what level I am playing at. Ultimately it doesn't change the actual game but it effects my motivation to play the game or to learn how to play to my max potential. I dont even consider myself to be good because I am re-learning the game but it would be nice to see where I stand.
I dont mean to continue to pile onto blizzard because the pile is as high as it can get, but come on. They literally have the staff and all the resources but they just refuse to rectify this problem.

Stat tracking has been part of Blizzard games since at least SC2. It's great for streamers, and the fact that there's an api for that is a testament to something Blizzard has done well. The stats you track are generally not the ones you need to worry about yourself, but is nice for viewers. Tho for WC3:R I wouldn't put it past them to forget really important things that should have been in game tho. Anything specific you're thinking about?
Edit: Ah, it tracks your level. That's great. And yes it's abysmal that it's not in the game.

I know that they are capable of doing so. The MMR seems to be working because often times I'll win 5 straight then lose 5 straight once my mmr climbs higher to face stronger opponents. They literally have all the working components and refuse to put it together into a finished product.

They are probably working on micro-transactions; hero, unit and building skins and want to release it bundled with the ladder.

Looked like most of the groups are one person short so probably 26 people total for the open bracket.

Reforged graphics + health bars matching the color of the player, they want to kill my eyes...

Yup, not watching and not happy about that but I expected it since they want to promote Reforged as they're sponsored by Blizzard and probably have to do it. Been watching Syde and others instead of B2W lately since they also were streaming most tournaments but in old graphics, but here there is no other option apparently.

not gonna watch this simply because I just can't stand seeing this gray mess for more than 10 minutes.. damn shame..
btw if you want to watch some wc3 games with classic graphics you should check out the Warcraft3Art channel on YouTube. Dude uploads 2 epic replays a day.
Also CrotaGaming still does replay casts with classic graphics.

grunts and raiders need more color, i couldnt tell who they belonged

Units need to stand out more from the terrain, and yes colors are lacking saturation in the new graphics. Many units are also too big, I don't know why they changed their size...

what a shame that it took third party developers to make an observer UI that's actually good.

I wonder if he planned this to not compete with Anaheim. His stream would certainly have more viewers.
