Hey guys!
I've been a Warcraft III player since the day of release and I have finally gotten around to starting a youtube channel! I will be posting audio commentaries of my games as I climb the Azeroth ladder. I'm not a top tier player, but I employ a lot of fun strategies, and try to break down the decisions I make in game. I'm having a great time making the videos, and hope they can be both entertaining and educational (for newer players, at least).

Ok now that I've looked at some of the newer maps, it doesnt really look like that there are some positives and some negatives. I'm not in the mood to write too much, so here's my key points:
-General trend: Items are available at weaker creepsots than before. Many expansion creeps drop charged items, which I think is something that has largely been avoided on the current maps. Itemcreeping for a lvl3 item (aka claws+9, or big invul) is a possibility on almost any map for a lvl 1-2 blademaster.
-Road to stratholme looks very promising. It's very reminiscent of amazonia now, though it probably quite a bit larger. Has some weird shallow water parts where it looks as if they had removed some creeps from there. The creeps at the shop drop relatively bad items even by old standards (so with the better-items-earlier-trend, this stand out even more).
-Plunder Isle looks also very good. I'm curious if introduction of the 2nd ramp means that humans might actually prefer the corner expansions now.
-Terenas Stand: I dont know yet.
-The two rivers: Not gonna bother. Still horrible.
-Tirisfal glades: Still too linear. Attacking bases uphill always was a nightmare there. At least the expansion is in a better place now. Merccamps from Village tileset, meaning that you can get the infamous murloc huntsmen there. I think this map is beyond saving.
-Flood Plains LV: Way too big for 1on1. And I say this as someone who dislikes smalll maps. Lordaeron-Fall-Merccamp with ogre magi which some people will also rage about.
-Bridge too near: So you have a big map where people could expand multiple times, leading to fights with 80+ supply on each sides. But then there are like a dozen bridge with screw up pathing and create chokes smaller than what you usually have. This doesn fit together. Also, Map is too big. If it ever gets to lategame, players will be able to buy all sorts of highlvl items including auras from the martketplace. Which might be nice for once however.
The other maps were not availabe yet.

General Improvements & Gameplay Objectives
- Balanced creep camp difficulty progression from early to late game
- Balanced creep drop tables for better item progression from early game to late game
- Item diversity: Varied Level 1 though 6 charged items and Level 1 through 6 permanent items
- Balanced all start locations: total amount and starting distance from lumber, equal amount of spacing, equal size choke points, et cetera
- Balanced expansion distance from start locations
- Decluttered points of interest to reduce visual competition during gameplay
- Retextured map surfaces for better visual clarity - both on screen and mini-map
- Minimized the size of trees and doodads that obstructed player view of points of interest
- Added cliff lines or deep water to edges of the map - removing hard edges (aesthetic choice for immersion)
- Properly placed trees and doodads on the pathing grid: full-cell Medium Grid to half-cell Medium Grid alternate
- Removed the rolling shoreline waves from rolling hills to remove the noise the waves created - remains for cliff shores
Known Issues
- We are aware Warcraft III matchmaking is a bit long in the tusk; we will be improving matchmaker logic for a future patch
- Automated Tournaments and Ladder Board are not functional for PTR
- Latency was improved with 1.28, but still needs work to meet modern standards

Because there is no news? Custom maps got a big update a few months back when the maximum map size (in terms of MB) got increased. Other than that, blizzard rarely got involved in custom games, that's why they are called custom.
I cant wait to check out the PTR.

I just Get the file znd put it on my nrw computer when I change (because I use special shortcuts = keycraft)

The PTR keeps giving me "invalid bnet connection" and I cant go in at all , how do I fix this ?

Wait till monday, but I guess I am too late for that.
In the bnet forums they said they do some work on the PTR and some fixes, they hope they got it back up beginning of the week.

It is not the best timing for the test realm to coincide with GCS. However, I feel that the test server might be here for quite some time, and and I'm really happy we have both.
Gotta catch up with how foggy was doing soon. And nothing against life, but in his group today I'd rather have any other advance over him. But its a competition and he deserved to advance so I cant complain.
