I would just enjoy some sweet combos and listen to the commentary, it's a pretty complex game. Some things you will pick up really fast like YOLO footdive and helmbreaker And yeah generally 1 hit = 1 dead character
but like what the fuck. that was 100+ hit combo? And this whole time Ranmasama can't control or switch the char ?

There are only a few ways to bring in a second character. The easiest way is just tagging them in. When that happens, the character stops and poses before being able to defend itself, making it extremely vulnerable. The other way is on a team arial combo, which requires you to have already hit the opponent, , or on a DHC (delayed hyper combo), in which you do a super, then bring a second character in to do the second super. It's the best option, depending on what super is done, but it costs 2 meters, and you don't always have two meters.

The main thing I don't like about Marvel is the camera moving to the top when someone is flying and shit, and you can't even seen the other guy character if he's on the ground. Xx

Every year I'm reminded about how much I love this Umvc3 announcer.

I'll make this statement again fro people who get overwhelmed by people not beign able to escape combos. The main principle of high level play in fighitng game is that you win the game at neutral, and combos are your reward for winning at neutral. Your job is to open your opponent up while not getting hit. If you're getting comboed, that means you messed up and got hit. That's why spacing, footsies, and movement are the most critical skills in games like this.

Xx I think the combination of the camera and the bright flashes of stuff is what's confusing me. It's more difficult to follow than KoF (I was watching earlier) comparatively. I get when one guy's getting pounded, but the nuance is lost on me.
Also, does the color commentator do anything but say random things that are unrelated to the game?

Right but it means that 80% of spectating is watching unavoidable combos instead of the things that take actual skill, ie spacing, footsies, and movement.

Alot of marvel is knowing the mixups the dirty dirty ass mixups that marvel can do with assists.

Xx You can see the icon showing where they are. There are tactical benefits for the camera doing that. To both the person in the air and on the ground. Generally the person super jumping has set ups to do dirty things when the camera is like like calling at the right time assists or using fly to call assists. But it leaves you to crossing yourself up as you come down if you're not careful.

A combo in theory is unavoidable if you don't drop it.
Second, its as if you're making it seem like those long combos take little to no skill. Personally, I'm not a fan of combo-breakers. You get hit, you deserve to suffer every bit of it.
