Yo this game might suck but these announcers are making me hype, its like so different. Like I prefer this to say when TotalBiscuit commentates Planetside 2 does his british accent blabbing on and I don't feel like playing it, these guys just scream at the perfect moments and I want to just feel compelled to fistpump and standup.

It infuriates me the number of games that can't use a functioning standard unit clock.

I think developers don't want to put more then 99 seconds up on a screen but want time to be longer then that. i guess 3 digits are ascetically unpleasant.

It seems like there are certain moves or maybe using your meter to lock them out of being able to "combo breaker". At least that's what the exclamation point above their head means.

Most fighting games don't allow you to do anything while you're under a long combo (which can be boring) so I can see this matches being really intense from beginning to end. This could be interesting to play.

combo break seems to be like a parry/just defense-ish timing that you can only do on kinda predictable combos -_-?

I've seen that Virtua Fighter is almost never played on EVO. I have two questions:

1. Why?
2. Are there any important tournaments of VF?

It's actually sort of a RPS system where you have different combo paths, and if the defender guesses which path you take he can break it. It's better than it looks, the players are just hella telegraphing.

This game wants to be harder to compress to stream then mvc3. So much scene changes off effects.

Virtua Fighter has a pretty limited American competitive following for whatever reason. it was a side event last year, and it was an official event in 2007. In japan there's a VF 5v5 tournament annually that draws like 120+ teams. There was also the Sega Cup in America earlier this year, which was a great Virtua Fighter event.

I'm legitimately feeling nauseous watching Killer instinct. It's probably from the combination of the fast animations, flashy screens, the in game commentator and the Evo commentary.
