Do you realize that the console market is MUCH larger than the PC gaming market...? A common myth but incorrect. The PC gaming market is larger than the console market. It actually is correct. There are more console users and the amount of money spent on boxed console games is far higher than boxed PC games. On boxed games? Yes, console numbers are higher. Boxed games doesn't count...browser games, MMOs, Steam... Revenue seems a rather more appropriate measuring stick, and PCs are higher. Revenue is not an appropriate measuring stick, and neither are browser games. Otherwise we should include phone game sales into console sales? You really count someone who spends hundreds playing "farmville" a PC gamer? Come on. The console market is bigger than the PC market. It's simply a fact. And they are SEPARATE markets, either way. So why compare them? Obviously you can do more with a computer - good job you figured out the most basic concept in gaming. Revenue isn't an appropriate measuring stick? You're right, how much money people make is a terrible way of gauging a maerket. Not including browser games the PC market is much larger than the console market. You wanted to compare them so now people are countering your argument. Boxed PC games probably don't account for 20% of all PC game purchases. Let alone the amount of pirated games. Yes pirated games contribute to the market. Because a pirater is a potential buyer. So apparently you responded without reading my post, because what my post is saying is "stop comparing the two, they are completely different". But no, revenue is not a good measuring stick for the size of a market. My argument was that the console market appeals to a larger market (MORE PEOPLE), which is true. So how does revenue have anything to do with the number of end users? Revenue is skewed by a lot more factors than users. EITHER WAY, my point still stands. They are different markets, with different goals. Why do people feel the need to compare PCs to consoles? The console aims to be good at what it does and offer additional functionality and a simplistic platform on which to use it - which Xbox One does. All the complaints seem to come from the fact that they give all of this functionality and people don't want it? Then DON'T USE IT. If you're mad because you didn't get to see more game action - then wait for E3 and you will get your chance.

I accept not beeing able to sell/rent my game on PC because thanks to all the third party key sellers etc i can get brand new games pretty cheap . With the prices on console though not so much. Also the new Xbox not working without the Camera running is kind of creepy .

I think it´s a general course of the gaming industry that they don´t want resells anymore and try things like DRM. I read something they want to bring a modded xbox 360 version without any disc drive only with a option to buy/download games.

There's a difference between physical disks not being able to be shared and digital content, IMO. If I buy a disk, I want to buy the game and have control over it. If i buy a steam game, I know I'm buying it for my account.

It is interesting because if they allow a game to be played through an install and without the disc I'm not sure what they could do besides tie that game to an account.
