Most of that stuff is impossible on a console without turning the console into a PC (which is probably inevitable someday). I think the biggest difference is just the controllers though. Some games are just almost impossible on a console controller (and some suck with a mouse/kb). MMOs need lots of buttons which console controllers don't have. And an RTS on console? Hah!
wait why is this blowing up what did it get linked on
and man I can't wait till I can SCHNAP.
Does this guy have a poster of Boxxy on his wall? If so... creepy.
Don't pretend you arn't jealous. Also he's playing a character and acting like he does for his videos. He does have several real videos where he acts normal and does real reviews etc.
Oh I'm jealous. I was around for the great Boxxy war on 4chan back in the day. I'd like a poster.... =3

Perhaps. Or a category of their own instead.
You really count someone who spends hundreds playing "farmville" a PC gamer? Come on.
As much as I count a Minecraft player as a console user.
The console market is bigger than the PC market. It's simply a fact. And they are SEPARATE markets, either way. So why compare them? Obviously you can do more with a computer - good job you figured out the most basic concept in gaming.
It's not a fact. Even discounting casual browser style games, there is a the MMO market, Steam, plus boxed games. Which is enough to at least be comparable to console games.
They are certainly somewhat different types of markets. I'm not saying that PC gaming is bigger in the area of, say, FPS games. But overall, it is bigger.

Both would have to allow third party sellers to operate on their platforms to really establish a better online infrastructure which is extremely unlikely to ever happen. If i buy a game for PC online i can chose from dozens of websites and platform which drives competition . PSN and Xboxlive do not give me those options.

Absolutely. Thankfully you can use wheels/whatever controller you want on PC

A RTS wouldn't be that strange on a console, considering even the PS3 and 360 can use keyboard and mouse, just no developer activates that keyboard and mouse can be used in games for whatever reason.

A common myth but incorrect. The PC gaming market is larger than the console market.
It actually is correct. There are more console users and the amount of money spent on boxed console games is far higher than boxed PC games.
On boxed games? Yes, console numbers are higher. Boxed games doesn't count...browser games, MMOs, Steam...
Revenue seems a rather more appropriate measuring stick, and PCs are higher.
Revenue is not an appropriate measuring stick, and neither are browser games. Otherwise we should include phone game sales into console sales? You really count someone who spends hundreds playing "farmville" a PC gamer? Come on.

Revenue isn't an appropriate measuring stick? You're right, how much money people make is a terrible way of gauging a maerket. Not including browser games the PC market is much larger than the console market. You wanted to compare them so now people are countering your argument. Boxed PC games probably don't account for 20% of all PC game purchases. Let alone the amount of pirated games. Yes pirated games contribute to the market. Because a pirater is a potential buyer.
The pirating figure is irrelevant. If we're comparing revenue then they either bought the game or they didn't. "Piracy makes them more likely to buy the game" is irrelevant here cause we're talking about a binary number, not probabilities. But the rest of your post is correct. Also there are plenty of pirates on consoles.

you say that but the control scheme for halowars was great. perhaps not as good as it would be on pc, but it wasnt bad either.

They sell boxed pc games? also lol at the idea that more people use consoles than PC's You'd be incredibly hard pressed to find someone that doesn't own a PC in this day and age where as many people don't own a console.

i would actually say your wrong. whilst most people have pc's, most do not use them for gaming purposes.im the only one in my family that does (including cousins as far as my knowledge goes) yet a good deal of them own multiple consoles whether it be handhelds like nintendos or ps3's/xbox360's.
